Our vision has always been to create an iPhone that is entirely screen. One so immersive the device itself disappears into the experience. And so intelligent it can respond to a tap, your voice, and even a glance. With iPhone X, that vision is now a reality. Say hello to the future. With iPhone X, the device is the display. An all-new 5.8-inch Super Retina screen fills the hand and dazzles the eyes. The display employs new techniques and technology to precisely follow the curves of the design, all the way

Decent price for the handset but any android owners considering switching....don’t. I recently replaced my Samsung galaxy s7 for a iPhone 8 Plus and I hate it.

My iPhone came unlocked, and works on any network. Certainly didn't lock to the first network I used.

Is it just me that loves it when O2 refresh deals are posted and you get hours of entertainment reading the comments? It's like car lease deals, always the same comments over and over.

Bottom line is, if you don't have the mental capability of comprehending how O2 refresh works don't do it. Saves more stock for the rest of us!

Just took up this offer, Clic and collected the phone.

CONFIRMING THE PHONE IS NOT LOCKED.

I just put in my three sim and it works fine.

When I got home I phoned up and cancelled the airtime plan no issues.

Heat added. Ordered the P20, paying handset cost in full with £18 per month contract. Tried TCB too incase anything tracks

Can someone tell me if this is correct for my next steps:

1 - receive phone, insert o2 sim, call o2 to request unlock
2 - once unlock confirmed, call o2 and cancel airtime element of contract (i.e. the £18pm)
3 - confirm cancelled and cancel direct debit mandate

Alternatively - wait 31 days, pay £18 for 1 month contract, receive free tablet then cancel (or will this bind me into the a long airtime contract as I'm beyond the cooling off period?)

How did you get the p20 pro to work out as 396

On the tariff selection, scroll down to where it says pay full for handset upfront.

Select that, then it will bring up the prices for a monthly rolling sim with the handset payment upfront. I selected the cheapest 1gb data for £18.

Then on check out stages, it says Free offer already added to my basket: Claim free Huawei T3 8inch tablet.

    Happy days!

Design any o2 refresh contract with the device you want, get it the next …Design any o2 refresh contract with the device you want, get it the next day then get straight on the phone to o2 customer services saying you want to settle your device plan and port your number to pay and go. You pay the remainder of the handset value off and you then own the device with no further commitment to o2. If you port to pay and go your airtime contract will be disconnected in about 24 hours so you only pay for a couple of days usage. You can also opt to just cancel rather than port, but that means you have to give 30 days notice, so you will get a bill for the first month for the SIM card.o2 customer service is pretty good. They'll give you no trouble for cancelling. Just try to call during the day. Late morning is pretty quiet. Otherwise you may be sitting on hold for a while.

I have picked up the iphone X from the O2 store.
I have phoned O2 and cancelled the airtime plan and transfered it to a pay as you go sim. It was effortless.
I have no intention of using the PAYG sim as I already have a sim only contract.
Job done, sorry to disappoint all you doubters! (edited)

I just spoke to live chat and as long as you cancel the airtime after the cooling off period (15th day) you can still claim the tablet, don't need to wait the full 30 days. May mean you miss out on paying the 2nd month of the contract.

I solved the mystery. Advice to the people who are going to call o2 and cancel. Speak to customer services, not the dedicated cancellation department, as CS are the ones dealing with new customers within their 14day period. The cancellation department deals with existing users, hence the 30 days notice reply that some of us got. No bills to pay if you haven't used their sim card.

Ordered thanks, it's a shame though that the instructions are not in the description. For those doing this for the first time and want to save yourself 15 pages of confusion and misinformation, this is what I gathered:

    • On the iPhone page, click ‘See our plans’ below the blue ‘Choose this plan’ button
    • Scroll all the way down and click ‘Pay for your device in full’
    • Select the lowest monthly plan (£22 in the case of the iPhone X)

Once the phone arrives / Once you collect
    • Speak to customer services (not cancellation/retention)
    • Ask to cancel the airtime plan and transfer it to a pay as you go sim
    • If that fails, ask to speak with a manager
    • If all else fails, and they still say you have to give 1 month notice, just pay the £22 for the first month (or try again with another rep)

Is the handset likely to be locked to o2?

iPhone locks to the first SIM card that you put in it. So if you don't use the included SIM it will work with whatever network you want.

Please excuse the questions as I have never done this before...Does it …Please excuse the questions as I have never done this before...Does it matter which contract you get? (cheapest?)Can you pay upfront for the device?Do you cancel once you have the device in your procession? and is it best to leave it sealed until everything is sorted just incase it needs to be returned?

Pick any contract and length you want. Don't pay 100% upfront for the device though. If you pay it in full you are then stuck with the airtime contract as a SIM only.

Leave 24 hours from ordering to calling up. Since you get next day delivery yes it will be in your possession.

If you need to return it O2 offer 14 days to return it and cancel. You can use it during this time if you want to. It doesn't have to be sealed. You can try it and return saying you don't like. Their returns policy is great like that.

I’m so sorry to ask this as I know it’s been covered before. But is there a link to read how to order this?

    Unless I have this correct...

Order on the 36 month plan with £30 up front. That is the £16.23 per month for the phone and £22 per month for the plan.

I can then call up once received and pay the phone off which would be £584.28. Total including the £30 is £614.28? And they then cancel the 36 month plan for free?

Again I know it’s been covered before but I want to make sure I have this correct.

Minor thing but surely it will cost you 2 months of monthly payment if you want the tablet.
£18 for the first month before you can claim.
£18 for the 30 days notice you need to provide for disconnection of the contract after you've claimed the tablet?

OK everyone... the deal isn't very obvious BUT
    pick a phone
look for a link that shows "see our plans"
look for a link that shows "pay for your device in full"
look for the cheapest MONTHLY ROLLING CONTRACT
pay the full price, cancel when phone received and you pay ONE month at the cheapest tariff.
This avoids all cooling off periods or other slightly more complex methods of cancelling contracts, which you can do if you like

Thought I would add my comments.

But first a big thank you to the OP

Ordered mine first thing on Thursday with a a Friday delivery. Paid £500 for the device. Left all the other defaults as is.

Phoned up on Friday to ask why I have not received an email yet money has been taken from my account. The idiot I spoke to gave me no answers so left it for an hour and phoned again. This time got someone helpful who looked into the problem and said they had missed the time to get it shipped today. But I need to phone back at 6 to get the tracking ID and insist they do a Saturday delivery for free.

Phoned last night. Another idiot (sigh) cannot find the order, why is it not the number I am calling from (sigh)

Phoned an hour later. It’s now to late to speed up the delivery but they can chase it up in the morning.

Phone this morning to chase up.

Cannot speed up the delivery it’s now going to be Monday. (Grrrrr)

Ask to have the order cancelled. After a chat with the supervisor -

I can have the phone if I go and pick it up from the depot. (15mins up the road).

    Ok

Of I go and now have a new iPhone X

Phoned up o2 paid off the remainder off the handset and cancelled the airtime

Moral of this story if you get an idiot. Hang up and redial.

The o2 support, when I phoned to pay off the balance, suggested I cancelled the airtime at the same time. She also recommended cancelling the DD if was setup yet.

She said I could cancel the airtime contract within 14 days without any cost to me. (edited)

I ordered an IPhone X Friday morning at 7 for collection at the Milton Keynes store. Still had no email of confirmation.
Rang up this morning to see if they have my order. No name on their system for me.
Rang the customer service line and they said I was still awaiting credit check.
Got fed up and went to the Bedford store to see if I could get one over the counter.
They told me I can’t have one on a 1 month rolling contract. I says yes I can as I did it online. The salesman then went on to chastise me for buying online. I should of gone in store and wouldn’t of had the trouble. Not very professional at all. Will be making a complaint about the bad attitude.
Properly annoyed about the whole situation. O2 are a total shambles. Now I know why I went to sim free on Giff Gaff. (edited)

Don't think anyones sure, technically it should work. I've paid my device in full and now debating weather to cancel the airtime now or just pay a month and half or a few months and get the tablet, as long as you get the tablet then 2x£18 payments will make it worth while but there's always the risk they will try weasel out of it. I saw someone else say they were told they could claim the tablet even if canceled in the 14 days but i would assume you would need an active 02 number to claim but maybe not ? Looking online it seems the site to claim will be up from 8th December as thats 30 days from the start of the promo, then you will be able to see what info is needed to claim (edited)
