They are massive. Big enough for a Samsung S21 ultra or plus. Not a good size for car keys

These were 99p in home bargains just after Christmas. Worth a look if you have one close by.

Has 2 friends who have had cars broken into (or stolen) while using faraday pouches.

Read online the faraday box effect is produced by using a metal mesh stitched into the fabric =problem with a pouch is when folding and unfolding the brittle metal snaps and allows a RF signal to escape - may happen after 5 or so uses potentially.

However a faraday box (available all over the place including online) may be less prone to this as has a hinged flap. must have the clasp fully engaged though as even if slightly ajar the signal can get through.

Microwave also produces same effect if in a pinch!

I put my mobile phone in them and ring it just to test it's still working. 🚗

Why not just put the key in and press the button?

Very cheap but a lot of people complained saying they didn’t work last time they were posted

An essential item if you have vehicle keyless entry and/or keyless start (edited)

Ok not if your key goes to sleep after 30 seconds.

What kind of car keys are prone to be hacked?
Does normal kia picanto remote central door locking & foldaway key need such protection?

I’ve bought these previously but had issues with the car alarm going off randomly, still no idea why, but had to stop using them after a few days. Hasn’t happened since.

I'd recommend. My locked car was broking into at the weekend by scum using scanners to pick up the keygob in the kitchen

Thanks for posting. Someone tried to 'verify' my bank card at 1 am in the morning - twice - at a Green King pub. Luckily HSBC picked up on it and I've got a new card now.

In my experience, pouches work for a good while but with attached key rings they bulge and the stitching from the inside becomes undone where signal escapes and can unlock the car by pressing through.

Wrapping the car keys in tin foil works great too lol… but it’s not really a permanent solution if they’re moving around in your pockets… might possibly attract attention too.

    Ordering these. Thanks.
