    Definitely useful (at least in my South East London borough) to have your bin labelled. I recently received a new bin, so hadn't had a chance to label it, and sure enough, on the first collection day, the bin men put it outside the neighbour's house, and then the neighbours took it in. I retrieved the bin and labelled it before the next collection, and now it's returned to my driveway without fail. It's the same for all the other bins too.

    Somewhat. Just try and avoid it when using your pressure washer and give them a wipe over with a damp cloth.
