Steam Deck Status (Gold)

Reviews:

Metacritic (73)

As 300 freshly liberated slaves celebrate their escape from the industrial megacomplex of RuptureFarms, a new menace rises. They will soon discover that, although their physical bonds were broken, they are far from free.

Join the revolution as you guide their savior, Abe, on an almost impossible journey to uncover the truth behind the generations of disinformation and misleading news that have brainwashed his people.

Scavenge for items and craft powerful tools, arm your followers and choose to attack the enemy head on or to take a stealthier approach to unlocking each of the four possible endings to this epic tale.

Will Abe find a way to heal his friends and finally win their freedom? What other horrors will they uncover on their deadly journey through dusty canyons, abandoned mines, immense container yards and cavernous train terminals? Is this merely the next step towards liberation or is it really the end of the line? Only you can give them the hope they need to find out.

This game is the star of the 21-game bundle - I already had 10 of the bundle's games though (beware that Lawn Mower Simulator and Golden Light have both been Epic [or Prime?] freebies in the past). Here's another 4 games I picked to get to £2.69 (OMEN10 code takes 30p off):
You Suck At Parking Complete Edition, Monorail Stories, Pumped BMX Pro and Whispering Willows. (edited)

This is by far the buggiest game I have ever EVER played. Played it for the PS4, and lost count of how many game breaking bugs we found. It became a process - make progress, find a bug, wait for patch, resume playing... Before finding a new one. It says something that they actually put a form on their homepage where you could upload details and video footage of any bugs you found, and had to offer refunds.
We eventually gave up after a couple of months when a bug completely broke our perfect streak by making some mudokens impossible to rescue unless we started the game again from scratch. This was on the last ever patch released too.

That being said, for a quid, I'll probably have another go an see if it fairs better on PC, as the actual game itself was fantastic (when it worked). (edited)

I played it on ps5 maybe 3 months ago start to finish and encountered zero bugs, hopefully the game is in a finished state now on all platforms

Great post, good selection of other games for a quid as well e.g. You Suck at Parking

Fantastic, that seems like the better deal to me, that one is on my wishlist! Cheers.

Great deal, but I think I'm going to have to be sensible, and not grab a deal for the sake of it.
I'd never play it. It looks like something 15 year old me might have enjoyed, but I'm getting on and bit, and realise how little time I have to waste. haha

It’s worth £1 to not have to think about it so deeply.

I went with this along with some others for £2.99.... Is it meant to be any good or was this a sarcastic comment?

And that's the Oddworld collection complete on Steam... at least until they announce another game

OMEN10 takes 10% off but requires a £2 minimum spend.

That is shockingly cheap. Might as well for a quid. Cheers OP!

Well that's the missing piece to the Oddworld Classic "Complete" Collection from last month lol

That one is still available for £1, so £2 for the entire series is a bargin!

    Still no ultrawide support then??

Edit. No apparently, what a joke. And bugs, and mixed reviews overall. Pass. (edited)

I'll bite! Got the last Oddworld offer and was missing this one.

    Oddworld: Soulstorm
Undetected (looks like an indie Metal Gear style game)

Total cost £1.80 using OMEN10 code.

Right anyone got recommendations for the Rog? Seems rude not to pick another 9 games for £4

It ran fine on PS5, I guess the PC got another bad port from a lazy developer. Funny how all these veteran developers cannot make games, but new indie developers manage just fine.

Paid good money for this on EGS. Hoping the modern steam version is better and offers broader controller support.
