How do fans get to charge for a remake of a licenced product? I'm genuinely curious not trolling. This looks amazing.

It started as a mod for Half-Life 2 and Valve were so impressed they supported it as a full blown work, I’m pretty sure some of Valve’s (ex?) employees have even worked on it (edited)

I installed playnite on laptop. It's linked to sharenite on my phone. It has literally saved me money (well, about £3) by being able to tell me what game I have through what launcher on what platform.
Look it up if you loose track of what you digitally own through all these blinking launchers! Steam/gog/epic/humble/you name it, it can collate all your stuff, so you don't end up with 3 copies of the same game through different launchers/stores.

Also, just to add, I decided to play Fallout 76 as its currently free on Prime gaming (turns out I already have it, but hey, that's another story) I had to dust off the xbox, I've been playing half life's in VR since getting a quest, man, my TV is sooooooooooooooo small now 😞

Still showing partial controller support. So disappointing... every game these days supports a controller.

Yes, I played HL on my Riva TNT when it came out. Yes I used mouse and keyboard back then.

Halo made FPS possible on a gamepad back in 2002. If you're a l33t online player sure, go WASD and pwn all the n00bs... but it's 2024, some of us play from their sofa.

Played and completed on Steam Deck without issues. Don't let "Partial support" put you off.

Total bargain to relive the HL experience but modernised.

I remember getting the original for Christmas, I had drawn the curtains, kept the lights off and booted up the game for the first time, going through the train ride sequence. Absolute magic, an unforgettable gaming moment (edited)

I even added it to my basket before being reminded I already own it 😄

I genuinely believe that this remake improved on the original in every aspect. (edited)
