Is this better than the LGC1's built in speakers?

For a TV of that caliber, plesse don't waste your money on these kinds of deals (even if it's only £10!)

Spend at least £200 & get a substantial soundbar with a dedicated (separate) subwoofer, something like a Wharfedale Vista 200S richersounds.com/wha…tml

Don't bother with Dolby Atmos either, as that only works properly on high-end, expensive soundbars - consider if you don't mind spending the extra.

You could also get a really good secondhand one with a dedicated subwoofer (check independent reviews) for a reasonable price of £50-100 on Facebook-Mp, AVForums Classifieds section, etc, etc (edited)

Yes that is what the B&M site says. Try searching for it with other retailers.

Wow, great way to improve TV speakers, just for £10. Good luck finding. Heat added.

Still using my old Tecnics Amp with Mission bookshelf speakers - still beats most sound bars!

Still have the Mordaunt Short speakers and Yamaha subwoofer from eons ago. The soundbar was a frivolous buy, not a serious piece of kit.

Didn't have a HDMI cable handy to test it when I bought it. OH Bluetoothed a clip of a local open air concert recorded on their phone and I thought they were playing a professional YouTube clip. I was really surprised at how clear and loud it was.

I’m not a sound aficionado and this is my first soundbar, but it was a tenner well spent to me. However, my brothers would probably be horrified. One has a cinema room completely soundproofed and thinks nothing of paying £5K for a single speaker. (edited)

It's pretty weak considering the size. 30w isn't much for a device that's a metre wide.

The quality might be good though. I don't know. Great price as well.

What I know about soundbars can be written on the head of a match. I wasn't expecting much, but it was much better than I thought it would be just on Bluetooth from a phone. Just bought a new HDMI lead so will see how that is.

Philips has worst (and very rude) customer support ever.
I wouldn't even bother if this was FREE.

Weird that this is the B5105, which wasn't ever sold by Philips in the UK, the local equivalent is the TAB5105, which isn't the same model

30W RMS for a tenner isn't awful, but that's at <10% THD, rather than the <1% usually listed
