    This or sub gen3?
    I have a Sonos Arc, room size is 4m x 4m approx
    Can’t really have rears as my tv is in the corner so not central to either sofa

    I purchased the gen3 about a month ago. I was asking the same which one! My lounge ain't that big but the gen3 is excellent mate! Also at the time the mini was £399 and richer sounds was selling the gen3 for £539 but got a tenner off, so for another £129 it was a no brainer

    This was one of the best additions to my Sonos system. Absolutely transforms music, tv and film. Very straightforward to add to a beam or arc. If you’re already invested in Sonos, and if you’ve got Sonos One or IKEA symfonisk speakers as rears, you’ll really get to enjoy the 5.1 sound experience from dvd, blu-Ray and streaming services. The Sonos app will let you adjust the volume and effect of the bass which means you can be kind to neighbours, pets and passers by… or not!

    If you’re not invested in Sonos already then consider that you need about £900 to make a Sonos 5.1 sound system which doesn’t fully support the brilliant Dolby Atmos abilities without significantly more expensive rear speakers. A Samsung Q900C or similar might be a wise choice for the same sort of cost.
