    Hmm..

    PS+, PS Now and EA Play.. Twice a year when on offer;

    £33 + £33 + £14 = £80 a year, correct?

GamePass Ultimate (Online Play, 100+ downloadable games, playable on PC, game streaming to mobile and includes EA Play)

£39 a year (at very most) all year round.

Oh, and EVERY first party release is free to all subscribers on DAY ONE of release. Not to mention the £250 free MS Store credit every year to spend on games just for subscribing to the rewards program.

So yes, you're right, no equivalent service has matched Sony's offering. They've halved the price and surpassed it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a PS+ and PS Now subscriber on my PS5, but you're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think this stacks up against GamePass Ultimate in any way at all..

All? Less than 3 quid a month for 25+ games a year. You might not play or like all of them, but it seems fairly reasonable to me. (edited)

I guess they reduced it to match the Shopto price. Amazon don't really lead on the reductions, seem to only match after another retailer drops the price.

At least with Microsoft you get to keep the monthly games.

No you don’t. If you don’t renew or have GPU, it’s the same. You need subscription to play

As someone who games almost exclusively on XBox and PS is for exclusives... er, no. Ultimate costs more, even with offers. If you're putting that much effort into getting MS Rewards it's not free.

    Just no

    It isn’t £39 a year though is it. It’s £10.99 p/m headline price.

Stupid comparison. It's probably cost me less than that to. However, if I'm a previous Ultimate subscriber who needs to resubscribe today, how much does it cost me? That's the comparison.

And if you're trying to claim putting in over 60 hours into something is free, I value my time differently to you.

Well they're excellent value for people who don't buy games the exact second they're released. My entire year sub was worth it just for the time they put FFVIIR on.

Just a PSA - for those that don't remember.
Redeeming a code will always turn your auto-renewal ON.
You will renew at £49.99, never at discounted pricing. So remember to turn this back off again once you've stacked your time.

As well as the PS Plus collection if you have a PS5 which has some fantastic games (god of war, uncharted, ratchet and clank etc)

    Voted hot and bought

PS - for anyone sticking with their PS4 for a while, it's well worth replacing the internal hard drive with an SSD, did it recently and it makes a big difference (load times faster, graphics 'pop in' issues gone, just all round snappier and quieter too) (edited)

I think they should make it a choice to be honest.

PlayStation Standard - Free service to play online but nothing else.

PlayStation Plus - Monthly fee but free games each month on top + PS Now + EA Play (I firmly believe Sony needs to start including both of these into PS Plus). (edited)

You've compared one service to three. The competing service for PS Plus is Xbox Live Gold and Nintendo Network. Neither come close to matching the quality on offer so no, I'm not living in any cuckoo land thanks.

It’s not a clearance sale. It’s a promotion with separate stock for the days of play. I have not bought it from Amazon. My code was from Shopto and when I wanted to redeem it it was clearly showing as a days of play ps plus code. If amazon is selling the same then same rules should apply but if amazon is selling normal codes then that’s a different story. When there’s promo campaign, the retailer gets remitted for the cut the publisher has allocated for them. If they go further down it would be out of their own pocket or if they implement things differently, it would again be at their own cost.

Thanks for this, got another year of Plus, not having to worry about it running out soon is good.

For me, it's not just the games that I'll get in that year, it's access to all the games I've gotten so far. I'd love to use my Turkey account, paying much less for Plus, but then I'll lose the games I got so far. It's a shame.
