Increased to £295 now - thanks OP, picked up a couple at £80 last night. Looking at the reviews in detail, the problem of overheating seems to relate specifically to one of the two types listed. Not this one. Outlast (this one) is 90% down and the other (Stratos) is synthetic, which is bound to be much hotter/sweatier in summer. Amazon have merged the reviews, oddly, but you can separate them, and all the overheating reviews relate to the Stratos.

I've had mine for about a year, got it cheap via here, and we absolutely love it. It's a 10 5tog so possibly a bit warm for the recent weather but I use a reversible duvet cover and turn it over as required. Blue side is the nice cool side, it does feel a bit strange to begin with but you soon get used to it.

The duvet loops are good... but the fitted sheet clips are world-rocking incredible (in the world of bed comfort ha)

I don’t think it’s that common, but I spent £230 on one of those standing units that has a ‘tumble dryer-like’ pipe pointed out the window (I made a simple wooden plank with a hole to slot into my ‘double hung’ window and screwed the pipe into that) and it was the best £230 I ever spent. I don’t think I would ever not have one set up again now since getting it. Even last week when the room got up to 30 degrees, this machine had it down to 18 in about 30mins. It’s brilliant in the summer, then in the winter, you slide off the exhaust pipe and it can run in dehumidifier mode pulling out lots of water from the air. I think it does just under a litre an hour maximum. We don’t get that much, but it’s much needed where we live. This mode acts as a great heater too. Has fan mode and is great for even that, but AC mode when it is hot is incredible. heres the one we got: TROTEC PAC 2000 E Local Air Conditioner with 2,1 kW (7,200 Btu) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00U65A9M8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_AND-EbD30CF30 one downside is it’s about 800w, so I’ve worked out it’s around £1.90 a day based on 19p per kWh, if used for 12 hours. That’s maximum power and I think I’ve worked it out as worst-case price, but most models like this have eco modes for hot nights where they do a staggered operation, they have thermostats for auto temp and timers on the remote controlstoo.

Not worth it at all!.... Really horrible after a wash, started bobbling.... Never again I am buying this brand.

Lying on one right now, so soft, got it a couple days ago, washes well at 40° and you can tumble dry it low

These are excellent for when your Van der Graaf Generator is out of action - total bargain when you consider a replacement generator is £££!

Slumberdown pillows aren't nice, any of them. Cheap often means uncomfortable and in this case, the brand IS cheap and... not nice. It's worth finding what type of pillow works best for you and then investing in the best you can afford, because sleep is priceless.

I second that recommendation, best pillows I've ever had, 2 years strong.

My current pillows are Snuggledown Microfibre Memory Foam (purchased whilst on offer at Costco for £9.58 each!) which are nothing like regular memory foam (which I didn’t get along with). Firm without feeling uncomfortable and keep their shape for years. Can’t get them for that price now so looking around at other options and don’t mind trying something different/better.
