Personally I would sell the Yamaha and bring that price further down and you get close to half price for the speakers.

sorted byReally want to believe all yamaha amp internals are the same (external speaker connections on this sure aint!)
Know all answers await after googling. But trying to cut down.
So, I would wager that Yamaha should sound better than the most other stuff available in that price range.
But, yeah, I'm an engineer who trusts data more than the mumbo-jumbo. So, YMMV.
Not exactly sure how useful that is.
