worth noting that this isn't a T series thinkpad - so not one of the really robust, enterprise-grade things that'll last like a cockroach. This is more your typical currys fodder which is ok. For normal day-to-day use (web browsing, etc), I'd reccomend a T470 or similar instead

I have a gen 1 and it’s rock solid. Not sure if they changed anything for the gen 2, or if you’re just speculating?

..think they're charging more than double what they're worth. 2016 processor.

You certainly can find them for half this price from private sellers, but if these have been refurbished well with some sort of guarantee I think it’s probably the right laptop for lots of people even at this price.

This looks like a beast, not too happy about 7th Gen i5 though

Tricky one because some Yogas were based on X-series (X380 Yoga for example) and some were based on E-series (Yoga 260 for example) There were L-series Yogas as well. What I understand is Yoga version is a variant of the main model rather than a lineup on its own (although its not promoted that way).
I know T470S, T480S supports NVMe while T470 and T480 supports 2.5" SATA or NVMe with a caddy. In addition to that, T470 and T480 supported 2242 NVMe drives on the WWAN slot (bootable). T490 and beyond don't support SATA at all. I suppose its the same with the contemporary L-series as well.

Thanks for your reply! I’ll check out some of variations that you suggest.

This is an excerpt from Lenovo website:
    • ThinkPad L Series laptops are built for business, but with an added focus on economy and value. They're also among Lenovo's "greenest" laptops to date, designed for low energy consumption and built with more post-recycled material than earlier systems.
    • ThinkPad E Series laptops are aimed at small business users who need great productivity features at an affordable price. Yet they're stylish -- breaking the mold for economy-focused laptops and making business "personal" again.
ThinkPad 13 was actually a variant of E- series made circa 2017-18. Its probably the cheapest and lowest quality of them all. I would echo the statement about sticking to T series even if it costs a bit more.

Here's a pro tip: ThinkPad T470 and T480 has the ability to house two batteries (one removable and one inbuilt) and two SSDs (or one hard disk and one SSD). T470 supports two types of chargers - Lenovo square-pin and USB-C (edited)

Where do the Yoga laptops feature in this hierarchy? Also which feature NVMe drives (I’ve got a 2TB drive I’d link to install)? Thanks in advance. (edited)
