    It's useless .

They aren't useless at all - you just need to use it properly.

These are one of those things that are really really useful when you need one. So buy it and keep it somewhere because when you need it...
  3. AuldHairyBaws's avatar
Folk saying this is useless clearly don't know how to use it. I have this and it works brilliantly on blocked plugholes.

    1/2 tennis ball works better.

The Jewellery Channel? A drain unblocker?
Madness has taken over the world. Have they run out of jewels to sell? I have so many questions.
    Good deal though.

    Amazon doesn't sell rainforests either.

    (in)famous Rolson quality? No thanks.

I find an old 2l plastic bottle works just as well and probably lasts longer.
    Blugs2909's avatar
Agreed, cut the bottom off an old plastic bottle and pump away. Never fails to dislodge King Kong's finger.

    Used code EXTRA10 £2.69

Probably more effective to shout at the blockage? Or maybe whack it with this in the hope of dislodging said blockage?

I think in all honesty a broken handleless split balloon pump would work better.

Rolson is the translated Chinese word for rubbish methinks. Or April fools. (edited)

I can only assume people aren't using these correctly - check reviews on Amazon and you will see that plenty of people say how good they are.

This or laxatives ? Asking for a friend.

I have a similar one, I find it works best if you use it to also suck the blockage back which breaks it up a bit rather than force it forward, it's also not a great idea to force a waste pipe blockage as it can dislodge the push fit fittings.

are you serious............down a blocked WC pan means your hands are immersed....... there are children reading this and no plumber would ever, ever go there...

Ok this is a true story. I was using one of these (dunno what brand). On the upstroke the seal broke and me and the room were covered in the brown stuff. It was like the worse water pistol ever. If I had been wearing a head cam it would have gone viral and I would be a millionaire from the ads. Never ever ever again.

And that's why they call you Bog Tornado

I have one of these - it worked amazingly well when I used it. The pressure is much more powerful than a standard plunger

    Excellent price.
    Good deal.
  14. john_n3MU's avatar
Got one. Useless as the black sucker/blower head is too small to deliver any performance; failing to cover intended holes. Try cutting a tennis ball in half and pumping it over sink holes etc. Works everytime if waste pipe water filled.
  15. This.Is.Dog's avatar
These are brilliant. Highly recommended. Everyone needs one to unblock sinks! Bargain
  16. afaruque74's avatar
I'm using one from Screwfix and it's works as a treat. This might be ok and it's cheaper.
  17. crypt_keeper's avatar
Got one of Screwfix for a fiver different brand, was my last attempt before getting a plumber as nothing else worked on my kitchen sink and it unblocked it no problem just had to disconnect my washing machine and plug the hole properly because water takes the easiest path.
Also had girlfriend hold wet cloth tight on overfill drain hole

    She’s a keeper

Same thing a fiver from the usual diy/screw non-jewellery outlets around locally. Have similar, (non rolson) it's alright but nothing to go potty over.

But surely this deal is just for the mailing list, and surely HKUD can get a better 'exclusive' from them than this.

    Great deal, thanks

For this price, seems a steal! Thanks OP!
    john_n3MU's avatar
may as well chuck it down the pan for all it's worth -oh, no......it's only for use on waste pipes...........

Rolson and quality tools is an oxymoron !

I have the Screwfix one and they are rubbish... You can seal them with a wet flannel, but are simply not fit for purpose. (edited)

The irony being that Rolson are the toilet brand of the tool world.

I can highly recommend Rothenberger Ropumps but not cheap:

I've got one of these and it's remarkably effective if you use it properly

I can’t get it down to £2.99 for some reason.
