The m&s version is far too nicer, tastes like Costa cake try it once it's worth the higher price

I agree, the M&S one is the most superior one of these I have tried, the best versions of this came tend to be coffee shops, Starbucks used to sell the most incredible version of this cake a good while ago. But they have discontinued it like nearly all of their decent range to sell chocolate based rubbish. Shame, great cake though.

got one today for this price, was very happy with myself for bagging a little bargain and enjoyed a small slice with a cup of tea. Took my empty cup of tea to the kitchen and to have another slice and found the empty packaging peeking out from my Labradors bed. Can’t have a goddamn thing that is edible with a Labrador living in your house

ha ha. reminds me of our labrador. my husband left his sandwich on the chair as he went out to answer the door and when he came back the sandwich had disappeared but the box was still there, empty

you gotta be on your guard when you have a labrador around, they are very sneaky at eating your food when you are out of the room

I prefer to make my own loaf cakes . It's not difficult. Better quality too. Use yogurt in place of butter. (90g butter still used) (edited)

Get the full ingredients up and I'll give it a go tomorrow. I slice it and add whipped double cream.

    Tesco same price.
I would say 3 serves rather than 6. Nice sponge cake 🍰 not the raspberry it's too sour. I'll buy it again at this price.

Should have taken it to the till.
Pricing is generally universal, unlike staff competence
