About this item
  • Immersive Viewing - the 7.6-inch Infinity Flex Display lights up, like magic, the Under Display Camera disappears, leaving behind nothing but what's onscreen.
  • S Pen and Flex Mode - Get precision your fingers could only dream of as you put pen to glass. And you can watch, video call and more with Flex Mode which splits the screen in two, letting you work smarter.
  • Multitasking experience - Split the large screen into three apps at once, then open five more via pop-up. Save groups of apps to the Edge panel to open later for instant multitasking, then watch, chat and so much more, all at once.
  • Water Resistance - An IPX8 rating means you can unfold freely, even if you're caught in the rain.
  • Armour Aluminium - The backbone of this incredible phone is a super-strong, yet lightweight Armour Aluminum frame, 10% more durable to protect the interior parts of the hinge-like a suit of armour
  • Ultra Thin Glass Screen - the biggest leap in our foldable display technology. With the addition of a panel layer and protective film, it's 80% more durable than before.

I note the warranty excludes screens... How much is screen replacement for a fold 3?

EDIT: some googling suggests £380 for the parts alone... (edited)

    Perhaps I'm being naive but...

    "What isn't covered?
    Broken screens
    Water damage
Rooting or unauthorised modification of software"

Broken screens to me means that *I* broke my screen, not that the screen failed. On a standard phone I would expect to foot the bill if I dropped my phone on the patio, I wouldn't expect to pay for a screen that just stopped working.

The list of things above are all external threats to the phone, not the result of wear and tear.

To reiterate, probably naive of me!

opinions on going from s23 ultra to this?

S23 has better battery, better cameras, more performance, much bigger front screen which gives almost the same video size as the inside screen because of the ratio. Above all it's so much more durable and won't just break on its own. Fold phones are wonderful for browsing the Web and reading ebooks/comics though. I absolutely wouldn't go from my s23 ultra to any currently available fold but I would be interested in future devices

ive had 1 fold and 4 flips. screen split down middle on each. I went back to the galaxy ultra line.

Ditto. Haven't felt any compelling need whatsoever to upgrade yet,.

If the screen protector starts coming off immediately get it removed or replaced, that's what's broke my fold 3 when I had one.

just take them off. way better without them.

Best price for a pen enabled fold

Loved mine when I had it until the inner screen spontaneously cracked one day, wouldn’t buy another until they’ll fix it for free.

You absolutely need insurance for one of these and may struggle to get it due to age of the phone/buying used/replacement part cost

Got a ding on the edge of mine and some noticeable scratches and scuffs near the front hinge. Mainly sending back as the inner screen is giving me anxiety

I'd keep that if the screens are fine

I really disliked the fold3, fold 4 was perfectly useable though but would say they are very very heavy
    PeteParC's avatar
I mean the Fold 4 was essentially Fold 3.1 what exactly did you like about the Fold 4 over the Fold 3?
