Good price from a known seller. Can be had for similar from other sellers quite often on Amazon but I would trust CCL a lot more!

£15.33/TB, not particularly great. Sub £14 is decent and you occasionally get sub £13.

We are getting ripped off, Germany regularly sees sub €13.

You are comparing apples with Oranges. These EXOS enterprise drives have a 5 year warranty and are very different to the Elements desktop and Expsnsion desktop drives you are referring to.

agreed but a 'unknown' seller in the US. Upto people where they buy but would definately recommend a good uk seller that you can send back a drive if any problems.

This is not a good price. I bought this a fortnight ago from this seller when ebay had one of its 20% off vouchers it comes up with once a month

It brought it down to £245. My advice, wait for eBay to offer another 20% off deal. At a guess the kings corination in 3 weeks time will be the next time one comes out. (edited)

considering you cant buy it from a good uk seller for cheaper at this time, it is a good price. Has it been cheaper? Yes, but the 20% dont always make it cheaper even it was available. If you don't need a drive right away its always worth watching the market for a a few months to see what is the best price and historically a good price, but this might help someone who needs a drive sooner rather than later

The non-code price direct from CCL is £290.

Clicking on the description reveals the pre promotion code price. Companies such as CCL Computers should not be ramping up prices making it appear that a 15% saving is being made.

This works out at approximately £15 per TB which is about par for the course in terms of HDD deals on HUKD.
Hot but not a scorching must-buy price.

I would echo the comments above regarding them being a good company - I ordered an 8TB drive a month or so back and it arrived NWD and there were no issues. (edited)

This is not the same as those other deals by any means. Those tend to be WD Elements desktop drives, or Seagate Expansion drives. This is an EXOS enterprise drive with a 5 year warranty. It's not an Ironwolf, but it's probably the next best thing. (edited)

this was mentioned in the very first comment. They are US based so vat/import likely to be added and next to no warranty

Tempted to stick in my Plex box but not sure my mobo would recognise 18tb in one drive!

Should be software limitation for drive size not hardware limitation. My unraid server detects them fine.
