    Has anyone ever experimented with buying a sheet of memory foam, cutting it to the correct size and inserting it as an insole?

    You can buy memory foam insoles from the pound shops. I used to wear them in my work boots. Work OK for a while.

    I've tried those and they are awful. A 'while' for me was about an hour of wear. I was thinking more of the 1 inch or even 2 inch stuff that is readily available on ebay/amazon

    I have found my Sketchers really poorly made, the loop connecting the tongue to the laces has worn away, as has another one of the loops

    Was it these exact shoes? My wife loves hers. Wears them every day for work and still pretty good. Just got another pair she was so happy with them

    No reflection on your post just Skechers in general, iv been buying them for years and been amazed by their comfort but recently I'm thinking they just not as comfy as they used to be, might be just me
