It tastes far too artificial, it's a strange taste. Wouldn't recommend it tbh

Ultra Processed Food but let's label it skinny(Psuedo 'healthy') cause we keep the calorie count down

The maple syrup is a good substitute for sugar or real maple syrup in recipes, I've used it in bbq sauces, oatmeal cookies etc and the consistency is correct and adds sweetness without the calories, and any artificial taste isn't present if you don't over do it.

Some of the other syrups they do have questionable taste however

What's the texture like? I've bought Skinny Syrups before and they all tasted good but the texture was a bit off-putting. A bit hydrophobic and stringy, without much substance to em, y'know?

I've had 2 of these now and the first bottle was quite runny, almost like coffee syrup consistency rather than maple syrup. The 2nd bottle has been much thicker and more like golden syrup than maple syrup, so it's a bit of a lottery I guess! (edited)

I tried the skinny range once, I’d rather be fat

This has caught me out before - it’s not maple syrup, but flavoured syrup. That may or may not bother you

Wouldn't touch this with a barge pole. UPF = toxic.

Ironic you commented on a gin deal not long ago 💀

Somewhat concerning they can market this as maple syrup.

    It's NOT maple syrup
    It's NOT even syrup.

Clever labelling of over processed junk.

    False product labelling.

For virtually zero calories this stuff is great, I get a regular order from their site. The chocolate syrups are the best mind, but ppl moaning about this explains why there’s so many whoppers about in today’s society

It is precisely this kind of ultra processed food that keeps people obese in this society, forget the no calories. The problem is you're invested in the zero calories of this food, junk food tastes fantastic that's why we eat it. This food because of how it is constructed contributes to the obesity epidemic.

After chronic exposure to a diet that contained the artificial sweetener sucralose, we saw that animals began eating a lot more.

Buy actual maple syrup, a lovely natural healthy alternative.
    inzm_94's avatar
is it really fair to call it healthy just because it's natural? a lot of people use these syrups to maintain a calorie deficit. not to mention a lot of maple syrups are either expensive or barely any of the real thing with extra sugar added to compensate. of course, not saying this is ideal either

I use this as toilet cleaner, same ingredients but smells nicer

The sweet syrups are ok to have on porridge, overnight oats etc without adding sugar. They all taste very similar anyway

    what is this sorcery?

Pretend food for profit is the correct term for this.

How are they allowed to call/link this chemical carp to Maple Syrup ?
    HereKittyKitty's avatar
    Everything's chemicals
