Personally, don't like these Faraday pouches, had 2 and both worked great at first but then for some reason just stop!?

Cant knock the price tho! But would I trust it..... not for long!

The reviews of these wearing out is true. Its as if whatever metallic they're using to create the faraday cage fatigues over time (from opening and closing possibly). So check them every couple of months and expect to replace them (but at this price, who cares?)

One company (think its Renault?) uses a Gyro in the key to get past the security weakness. After being still for 30 seconds the key effectively turns off (not entirely to keep the gyro energised to detect a pickup but the crucial signal that unlocks/starts the vehicle is dead) - god knows why every manufacturer hasnt adopted this as without it keyless entry/start is far more of a security worry than it is a quality-of-life improvement!

That's actually a really simple but effective way of solving the main repeater attack problem as it tends to happen at home. I'm going to guess that it has been patented and the other manufacturers don't want to pay up for the license. (edited)

I have two of those (we have been using them for about 9 months now) and I can confirm that my Nissan Leaf does not start (or I cannot unlock the doors) when the fob is in the pouch. And for £2.39, you cannot go wrong.
You can always buy one and try it out!

Have you tried recently? It's all over Amazon reviews that they bizarrely seem to stop working at about the 6-9 month marker.

I use aluminium foil! Not as pretty, but has the same effect, and miles cheaper!

£2.39 or foil you'll likely need to replace? :/

Fact we have to use this at all to begin with, just highlights how ridiculous and rubbish the car industry has gotten. Keyless entry is nothing more than a pain in the arse.

Who would wander round with their car keys dangling from the back of their bag?

I too have found these Faraday pouches don't work any more (if they ever did). I went out to the car today and before I managed to get the key out of the pouch, my keyless entry unlocked the car. I now keep the key fob in a tin which I have checked works well.
