Why do I get the feeling even with the promotion, they're still failing to hit targets, getting lower and lower everyday

I was more in the mindset that it just isn't good value when compared to the Samsung 990B, which has Bluetooth, HDMI passthrough and DTS X

So I’m not deep on the Sonos ecosystem.

I have a Playbar with Sub and two Play 1 rears.

Get the Atmos bar or the Q930B at a fraction? The Playbar is beyond dated and I am not invested in the Sonos system around the house.

Can the Samsung achieve the same bass as the Play Sub for films etc?

Atmos and the Samsung has to be an improvement on the Playbar.

    Samsung 930B v Arc + Sub + 2x Rear 1s

Based on the Rtings.com review I’d suggest there’s not much in between Arc and Samsung but seeing as you’ve already got the sub and rears maybe the Arc is the better option with the least disruption? Unless you plan to use the Sonos speakers in another room?

This or the beam 2 at 339? Mind you that my tv is 43 inch amd the arc would be bigger and more expensive than the tv lol

I’ve only got experience of the Beam G2, however for that size tv I’d say that instead of the arc which would probably be overkill. I have the Beam G2 + sub-mini with a 55” LG C2 and I think it works well

There seems to be some good Sonos deals around at the moment. The sub is 539 here too which is the cheapest I’ve seen it for a long time.

Had my eye on this for a while and just picked it up from Richer Sounds [who still have it listed at £699] for £639.

Just ask them to price match Peter Tyson as their guarantee lengths are similar, 5 years with PT and 6 years with RS.

PT don't do 5y on sonos only 2y (petertyson.co.uk/war…ods). Annoyingly i called telesales and best they could offer was £659. do you go into the store?

I wonder whether Sonos will ever add support DTS-X. Previously I can see why they didn't include it, but now Disney+ has started using it for it's Imax versions of films. LG has even added DTS-X passthrough support back into its 2023 TV range.

The Arc is coming up on 3 years too - I wonder if there will be a replacement soon. Not sure what they would add though (can't see them adding an HDMI passthrough)

I don't know much about audio types and wondering what does DTS-X give you that Atmos doesn't, which I thought was the new audio type..?

Lack of bluetooth connectivity in this is criminal (edited)

I have beam gen 2, sub an rears. Is this much better than a beam 2? Could upgrade

Depends on your size of room. The Arc has at least twice the speakers, woofers and tweeters and almost twice the length with up-firing speakers. Seeing as you’ve already got a full set-up you’re pretty much paying for true Dolby Atmos as opposed virtual Dolby Atmos

Personally I think sonos in general are horrendously over priced. They do sound good, but you can get the same if not better quality for half the price.

I don’t disagree they are expensive/ likely overpriced but do you have a link for an equal or better at half the price? (edited)
