This was £260 earlier this week but the new code SUNNY15 brings it down to £245.65. I bought this at the higher price earlier in the week but am very happy with it. It's a definite step up from the Sonos One I already have.

White version is the same price ebay.co.uk/itm…582

WEATHER-RESISTANT
With an IP56 rating, Move stands up to humidity, rain, snow, dust, salt spray, UV rays, and extreme heat and cold.

USING THE CHARGING BASE
Place Move on the charging base with charging contacts aligned and touching. Make sure your Move is completely dry and free of debris on the charging contacts before placing it on the charging base. The charging base is designed for indoor use only.

Move's battery fully charges in about two hours while using the Charging Base.

USING A USB-C PD CHARGER
Move's USB-C port is located on the back of the speaker above the charging contacts. Ensure that the USB-C cable is fully inserted into your Move and power source. Charging via USB-C may have varying speeds depending on the wattage of the charger. We recommend using a 45 watt USB-C PD charger, outputting a minimum of 20V/2.25A or 15V/3A. You may also use a 36 watt charger that outputs at least 12V/3A or 15V/2.4A, but the charging speed will be reduced.

Any idea how much energy this consumes when sitting idle? The Ones eat 4w each all the time when idle which seems bonkers to me.

Update - answering my open question... Here's a full list of power consumpton from Sonos speakers. I think some of the figures here are just awful: support.sonos.com/en-…dle (edited)

Brilliant... I just bought one from them at £260 which arrived last night. I didn't think the price would go even lower so soon. I know I could probably send it back and reorder this, but think it's a bit cheeky to expect the company to lose money that way - so I'll just keep the one I have. Heat for the deal though!

I ordered a Samsung TV a while ago with a smaller company and they sent a invoice direct with the non discounted price and so I challenged them about how much they would charge me and they explained it is an ebay discount and it doesn't come out of their income.
    Might be worth a message.

If this came up a month ago I would be buying but I bought two Soundcore Motion+ which pair with Stereo and it works well for our garden space.

so tempted, all these offers are making me think is a Sonos Move 2 on the horizon?..... buy or wait.... ARGGGGGGG

New move has just been filed with the FCC so definitely on the Horizon. Really just depends how much you value the top audio quality - the jump from Ones to era 100s isn't enough to warrant an upgrade so gen1 will still be perfectly good

Been pondering one of these for ages...can resist no longer at this price - ordered. Cheaper even than using the 30% discount for old S1 kit direct from Sonos.

Can’t refuse at that price, even if a second model is coming. A great speaker doesn’t stop being great just because a new one comes out.

I have used tons of portable speakers from Anker to Bose but nothing tops this. Worth every penny.

Very tempted. But I'd have to sell my roam (which I love) to justify.

I’ll be the first to say I’m a big Sonos fan but I bought one of these at £350 in April and though that was decent value. At this price its insane value. I don’t even care if they do one with spatial audio because it’s going to be double the cost. Ordered another one to use in a pair in the garden (where spatial audio is also not useful). (edited)

Was going to wait for the Move 2 in the hope of support for higher quality Bluetooth codes and more seamless WiFi to Bluetooth switching, but this price is too good to pass up.

I have one of these already (paid £290 for a Sonos refurbed unit last October).

Suffice to say I'm very happy indeed with it and have jumped at the chance to get another for this price.

No. It supports Apple Airplay and Bluetooth but not Google cast sadly.

Seems like gen 2 isn't far off so I imagine gen 1 will get cheaper

Gen 2 is also less likely to support Google assistant as evidenced in the Era range. So get this if the assistant is a priority. I hate Alexa, so couldnt live with that being the only option. (edited)

What is a genuine use case for this speaker? Like a nice extra that enhances your current setup. Won’t the latest Sonos beam with surround sound be enough for most people.

This post reads a bit like you're unsure of what the Move is.

It's portable, battery powered and has Bluetooth as well as WiFi connectivity.

Obvious use case therefore is outdoors, but it serves as a truly flexible speaker you can just move around the house. The Roam is a similar product, but Move sound quality is far greater. (edited)

The form factor allows you to use it outside as a portable speaker. So imagine using it in the garden when having a bbq / party etc. it has a more durable rugged feel which can withstand drops, dust and water resistant not water proof. It was the first Sonos speaker designed to be used on Wifi or Bluetooth. It can be paired to an existing Sonos system if you already have and play your music around the house without having to be fixed in one location. The Move is not designed to use with a TV like the beam is.

When you take the Move from one room to another it will recalibrate itself automatically within 15s to suit the room you are in e.g from open living room to small enclosed bathroom space. Hope that helps.
