Some blurb from Amazon.

Despite the compact size of the camera body, which is the world's smallest and lightest, the α7C delivers spectacular image quality for both stills and movies. Fast, wide and steadfast AF, rapid-fire continuous shooting and a handy vari-angle LCD monitor help capture the action whenever it happens.

It’s based on the A7iii. The 7C is an equally great camera in a smaller body. 5-year old tech but for the quality, regardless of what’s coming soon, you’ll struggle to find better value. Add some semi-pro or pro lenses and you’ve got almost everything you could ask for in a camera. I’d imagine the new 7C replacement would be £500-£700 more expensive when it’s released.

It's a worthwhile investment for stills. I think it's worth waiting for video shooters. 8 bit only is not always a deal breaker, but if you're getting it for video, chances are that you'll be doing so to make use of the extra colours.

It's also smaller than the A6700. That thing is a chonk for APSC.

Mark 2 being announced in less than a fortnight so bear that in mind if you’re contemplating it

and knowing Sony it will be £3-4k body only.

They are still flogging off 6-7 year old tech Sony axx for original prices.

Come to think of it, so are GPU manufacturers.... but thats another story for another HUKD post.

Too expensive, not really a good deal I’m afraid. A6700 is a much better deal.

Do you even shoot? A6700 is APS-C and this is full frame. Google is your friend and thank me later.

Urgh, I just had to cancel my A7IV body via Wex, they had an amazing deal £300 Sony cashback plus £200 voucher code. But life is kicking my backside at the moment. I would have never used it, and it would have gathered dust for the next 6 months. I'm sure I could have sold it for £100+ profit, but it just wasn't worth the hassle. So disappointed with myself.

People still use cameras in this era??

Much in the same way we all expected Japanese toilets to be universally available throughout the world, people indeed do still rely on higher quality image capture. Have you seen the price of a brush and canvas these days?

I think the body only is a better deal at £1400, I’ve had the kit lens and it’s not great, but if do want it you can pick up second hand ones in excellent condition for £150

What do you think about grey?
Are they just the same as UK products, or do you get annoying "Switching to PAL/NTSC" notifications? (edited)

Cracking camera, 4000s max shutter speed doesn't work for me so went for the A7IV but hopeful that the A7cii or A7cR might the the one I've been waiting for since before I went from Nex7 to full frame. Love my A7IV but hate the form factor, they've become so chunky .
