For those worried about stick drift, buy it from Currys and take the extended warranty. I think it cost £3 or £4 (per year) for 3 years and I purchased my black controller from them 2 years ago. I took it back this year and the black controller was out of stock, no questions asked allowed me to take any other pad so I've now got the grey camo

Shame there’s no alternative. Sony need to be held accountable for the poor quality controllers.

I’ve had to return about 5 of them for different issues, including loose triggers and stick drift. I correctly have a couple with a dodgy vibration motor.

When it works, it’s a nice controller. But it is made very poorly.

I thought the controllers were good quality. I've only ever had a Nintendo joycon drift.

Any advantage of using the ps5 vs Xbox controller for PC gaming?

It's my controller of choice and is supported in Steam.

Do be aware though that games don't tend to support this (or anything else) natively since Microsoft came up with xinput over directinput in an Apple style move to ensure only their controllers are supported

I find the symmetrical placement of the 2 analog sticks more natural than the offset configuration of the Xbox controller but it's all down to muscle memory and those used to the unnatural xbox layout will tell you otherwise

The real down side of the PS5 controller is this square circle x triangle business. With ABXY or old school Logitech numbered system, you typically know where A is, and B will be next to A etc, but where the hell is triangle? I find myself looking down at the pad to locate the correct button quite frequently!

For the amount of times they get stick drift, good time to stock up.

Yep I've got 2 with severe stick drift.. anyone know anywhere reputable in the UK who do repairs?

Same price at Curry’s, in a range of different colours too including camo. I picked up a blue one on Saturday

Literally no idea what some folks do with their controllers to get so many cases of stick drift. Had numerous DualSense controllers with absolutely no issues apart from the so-so battery life.

I think it's just bad luck. I had one controller, which was my 2nd one, so literally used for 5 hours over the space of 12 months when I might play multiplayer and that one got stick drift. The one I've used for hundreds of hours is fine. No ryhme or reason to it.

I bought this last time it was posted at this price, handy tip, sign up to their newsletter and get £5 off £40... You can pick up a little freebie if you look hard enough, I picked up a steering wheel 2 pack for the switch. (Had some gift cards to use up for Argos so worked out perfectly).

Good deal. I've got a couple already. It's my favourite pad for pc too I play via Bluetooth on pc. . I prefer it to xbox pads. Ive always preferred the DS pads to xbox ones.

I never use vibration or any of the feedback options. I like a simple basic controller with no noise either. (edited)

No point buying any white ones. They could be the v1 pads that easily get stick drift. Altho I have bought the v2 colours and they have also had some level of stick drift so all around build quality isn’t great

both mine got the stick drift, I just can't bring myself to buy another even at the reduced price. This is after having a ps4 for 10 years or so and having purchased a good 7 or 8 dualshocks over the years that all got stick drift.

my dualsense are both out of warranty, I contacted sony and they said they'd do nothing it's just ridiculous, how are we not suing them guys let's do it. fr tho not sure how they can get away with it AND not offer any kind of repair for a blatant issue they haven't fixed in two generations now.

I'm pretty sure they are getting sued about it. Not sure who by though
