About this deal

Not the cheapest it's ever been, but the cheapest it's been for a while. Good for the garden, I intend on using mine to wash my mountain bike.

These are also cracking for TFR or pre-wash Solutions for car washing. Just make sure you depressurise before leaving it to stand when finished.

I was thinking the same. Hmmm

Are these decent quality compared to others at the same price?

They're all pretty rubbish. Treat them as consumables and expect to buy a new one every couple of years even with only light use.

These are terrible. Don't last more than a couple uses with cheap plastic bits breaking off. Get a Gardenia professional hand pump spray for something that will last.

Is it this one you are talking about?

I couldn't see a Gardens one with Professional in the name (edited)

I have this, bought it a bit cheaper at b&M bargains or similar cheap shop.

Works really well, I use for gardening, spraying either spot weedkiller (targeted) or lawn fertiliser (wide area)
Tip: buy soluble ferrous sulphate and using in higher soil conditioning and moss killing, lower doses for grass greening.

Don't make the mistake I did. Don't use weedkiller or poisons etc in the same one as fertiliser or anything. I thought I could clean it out. I thought I did, but clearly not. Bad times. Buy two.

Also, would definitely work for car prewash or post wash liquid treatments.

Can this be used for fence paint spraying, and has anyone tried it ?

Consider what's on the other side of the fence before using a sprayer to paint it! Did ours years ago and next doors white back door and wall is forest brown now.

These are really good for washing the dog down.

I had one of these explode on my legs needing stitches . I left it in the garden and pumped it up but it had gone brittle over the winter . It went bang and shards of hard plastic pierced my legs .oh well my bad .

What was in it, nitro glycerine?

Is this any good for blasting pigeon guano off a patio?
    taxboy's avatar
Not really - they're designed for applying weedkiller, liquid fertilizer etc

Got the 5L Homebase sprayer (posted 11 June 22). Metal wand is great. Use for hypo on paving (1:4) - always rinsed afterwards and it's going strong. Wish wand was longer - always get sore backdue to bad posture when using it 😞

Good for what it is... I used it for a few years for cleaning a bike (where you don't want to blast it too much)...

You’d be lucky to get a season out of these. They don’t last two minutes then it’s even more plastic into landfill.

Mine has just died after two years - left it out over winter tbf but still disappointing
