Careful with these.. great for blue trail warriors .. anything more the thin casings are very easy to slice open or pinch flat. Bargain tho for 4 quid lol

I Recently upgraded to some mitchelin 2.25 and they are so much better, increased grip and comfier. In a heavier duty mtb the trend seems to be moving to 2.5 width tyres I’m happy with 2.3-2.35 maxxis DHF and a minion ss or dhr2If you are riding the local park or to shops then a great bargain

Yep wider gives a better ride generally but the storm control are mud tyres, narrow is a good thing with mud tyres as it cuts through and grips rather than float

My rides can avoid the really muddy sections, so I’m happy to compromise and avoid skinny tyres. I really hurt my wrist and hip last year when on skinny tyres on a 90 degree steep cobble footpath turn, front tyre dug in and creased with a jittering bang bang noise

My order for 2 was also just cancelled,

    "Dear Evans Cycles Customer,

We regret to inform you that this item was listed at an incorrect price and in accordance with our terms & conditions, we are processing a cancellation and full refund for the price paid.

We anticipate the tyre will be available on the website for the correct price of £35 from tomorrow (Friday 8th February 2019) should you wish to place a new order. "

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, nope.

Planet X often have some decent tyre offers but decent off-road tyres seem to start at about £8 but some very decent offers for road tyres in mountain bike sizes at lower prices, 26" and 700c/29". I find some of these tyres they send are clearly removed from a bike but unused and can be dusty (assume someone bought a bike and wanted a change of tyres), bonus is sometimes they still have the tubes left in them.

I've done that myself when I've ordered something cheaply and then posted it on hotukdeals as a deal and it seems like no one got the offer after me. The hotukdeals effect is suddenly there is a huge level of orders and so they quickly realise the problem. That's why I sometimes wait until I get a despatch email before posting the offer.

Received a email saying ready for collection, just collected 4, after 1 saying it was cancelled.
They said all orders were cancelled but would sell them at £3.99 paid in store.
Worth a try if anyone has the same emails.
