I got 70 hours through standard Persona 5 doing all the sidequests and bonds, stats etc before Persona 5 Royal came out and had no way of importing progress. That made me stop dead on the game. At this price, and on PC maybe I'll start again, with a few 'enhancement' program settings in the background to speed my progress to getting back to where I was.

On the one hand yeah it sucks how Atlus love to rerelease games that already exist without accomodations like this - but on the other the extra stuff in P5R is weaved throughout the entire game so importing a save file wouldn't really work. There's two new characters who are major additions to the entire story of the game not just as an extra side mission.

Thanks for posting this. I've been intrigued by these games for a while but never played one. This seems like a good place to start.

Completed it on ps and now Im watching the anime series (its bad but I'll power through it) which makes me want to replay it. The first psn run I playthrough was with my newphew who held me hand throughout. Maybe I should get this and do it solo. hmmm
