They've changed the lid design so instead of being held on with clasps, it just sort of pushes on. It also breaks fairly easily if an older kid gives the ball a bit of welly.

Had one similar to this. Great fun while it lasted but the ball very soon came off the rope and couldn't be re-attached

If it helps you can buy replacement ball and tether on the Swingball website.

Bought one recently in Costco. It broke in no time and Costco replaced it. Then the ball broke and I got swingball to send me a new one. It has now broken a third time and I have given up trying to fix it

Top tip don't let your older sibling remove this from the base and use it as a giant mace and swing it around until it blacks your eye 🤦🏻‍♂️

I still have flashbacks every time i see these 🤦🏻‍♂️

If swingball was better made this would be great. If anyone over 8 years old is playing this, it won't last long unfortunately. Sure you can get replacement parts. £10 excl del for the tennis ball and string.

I kind of assumed swingball was for anyone under 8 anyway. Surely it's only got about 60 seconds appeal for anyone over that age? That'll be why the company don't spend more on the product to make it more robust. (edited)

The original one was bomb proof. Bang it deep into the garden with a hammer and give it a thrashing. When the base moved, pull it out and bang it in somewhere else.

I'm disappointed they've managed to degrade such a great product.

Yeah was thinking about getting this but reviews showing loads of issues around the ball splitting... shame as had this as a kid and the only time it split was when the neighbours dog jumped the fence and chewed it off!

They were £20 in Aldi last year for the non-pro version and seem to come in annually

We have this pro version got it £35 from amazon last year, still feels over priced, how on earth they can price it at £50 is ridiculous, should be £25 at the most

Bought this at Costco on Friday and started playing with it on the Saturday.

I found it to be loads of fun but do recognise it probably gets boring after maybe 15 mins.

Any tips on prolonging the longevity of the product? Not playing with it isn't an option

Playing against your competitive brother-in-law helped me play for about 2 hours in one stretch...

Bought, poor quality compared to the one from back in the day.
    Ball constantly gets tangled up.
