Nothing to go wrong with it unless you leave it out during the winter/rain without a cover. You can't raise the grilling height. It's a very decent size for hosting. I think they have sliding grills which makes it easier to add more coal when needed. It has a coal rack which is good to keep the good coals up and allow the Ash to drop down with a little bit of moving the coals around. It's not for smoking meats and doesn't close fully right, but enough to not let out huge amounts of heat.Hoow that helps..Depending on the amount of rust and where it is, not worth the effort. The stove spray cans cost around £8 each and you'll probably need 2-3 depending on how much rust you got to cover... Better of giving it away and getting another.

Spray is 2 for £10 or 4 cans for £16 if you want to spray something else.

Can you adjust the height of the grill?

no, fixed position for the main grill. The one attached to the lid, swivels as you open the lid so that it in theory stops things being flung off, sometimes sticks, but think of it as a warming rack.

Mines solid and only has a little rust on the screw heads and inside where the coals burnt the paint. really doesn't need spraying but will give it a couple of coats, £10 better than £40 and reassembly. be same next year.

Plus you won't get it down the side of your house if it's a single path very unimpressed even for the price,, still the scrapman will be happy when I throw ours this year

Mine's been fine for years, is yours drunk or are you?

Got one of these about 8 years ago, still going strong.
You can't adjust the grill height, just adjust the coals so you have a really hot side and a cooler side.
Worth the money in my opinion.

It says it cooks 20 burgers at once also says cooks for 4. I like that math

Weber start at about £150 but I know what you mean.

    bbqworld.co.uk/m/w…asp

Less than £90 for a basic charcoal model there. Does fine for a family, would probably go to the 57cm if your more interested in BBQ. Think I paid £130 for my master touch 57cm but that was an amazing price and like 10 years ago.

Each to there own. Some people are happy getting a few years out of a cheapish one and moving on. I just think it's better value investing in a decent bbq.

Yup, I picked one up last year for £25, used it about 10 times and it was fine. Not uncovered this year yet, so I'll have to wait and see if it survived the winter. It's got 2 vents, a swivelling top rack and sliding grill racks. No bells or whistles, but great value for money.

I do have a cheap cover for it which gets left off all the time. It's always been kept outside. This homebase one will be probs 2mm thick and cheapo steel.

Thanks OP, been faffing over a new BBQ for a while, considered getting an expensive gas one but with gas prices I think this is a bit more of a sensible option. Heat

Agreed with this. Mine arrived yesterday and it's sturdier and larger than I was expecting, seems very good value for the money, looking forward to using it next year now that our 3 days of sunshine are over

    Totally agree.

Would be good to get a cover during winter if kept outside, especially during winter.

I store mine in the shed so no wet weather issues on that front but I agree, it would be a wise idea to purchase a cover to protect it if it lives outdoors.
