I've had 2 of these before as well and the inside smashed when I put the hot water in. one used for about a week and the other for a few months. I think it is just luck when the glass breaks or maybe I've put hot water (fresh out of the kettle) that is too hot for the glass to handle.

I think they have a guarantee, so I would have taken it back, if I remembered that!
I put in a small amount of hot water first, put on the top, swill it round, empty it then fill it.

Glass ones have a mind of their own they can last years, or break on the way home from the shop.. I find the steel ones lkeep heat just as long and they can take a dent or two. (edited)

Same here ,used to have the larger one but it was too big . Keeps drinks hot for ages very good flask in my opinion.Wish they did a smaller one for soup.

Yes I wouldn't be fooled by it's plastic appearance it seems very well built and the internal lining it great.

I used to go through loads of these fragile glass flasks, before stainless steel ones became coomonly available. Wouldn't ever go back to them.

Both my cheapo Tesco stainless steel ones lost their vacuum and I had to bin them, the 500ml one after about 10 fills and no abuse.
You'd hope the expensive stainless steel ones would be better though but I've still to try one of the £60 varieties.

I was going to say, I hope it's not a cracking deal, then read the comments, oops.
