How much of an improvement is this on the Blu Ray? Anyone know?

I thought it looked great. Don't get me wrong there's been some sharpening/grain removal but overall it's an upgrade

My son is autistic and the Titanic has been one of his hyper focuses for a while. He just bought it on DVD from a car boot on Sunday. It's a dreadful copy. I had to adjust the TV to get it to fit the screen. On the 1 hand, I know he'd love this. On the other hand, I'm not sure how many more times I can cope with watching the film plus extras...

VHS is the way to go, let those cosy retro vibes stop all the digital effects from being so noticeable.
