sorted byI was more concerned with the metal plate interfering with wireless charging, but that also was never an issue.
You can also try to see if your phone will attach to the holder without the metal plate. My Pixel 7 Pro can attach to my magnet holder without any extra metal plates, but my partner's Pixel 6 cannot attach without a metal plate.
