    I have this and would go for a retractable blade instead. You need both hands to fold and unfold the blade and it doesn't have the weight in your hand like other models. The rope cutting notch is a gimmick - you have a fully exposed blade, why go for the little notch?

    It does have a nice metal body with a narrow profile if that's what you're after

    Good bit of info. I’m after a new knife as my current retractable one has a habit of jamming. I was considering this but you raise a good point about folding. Something to ponder over.

    I have a similar knife I got many years ago. But the rubberised handle material turned sticky so don't use it anymore.

    Don't know if this is a general problem with this type of coating.
