sorted byPeople generelly expect a 'Tweed Jacket' to be made from 'Tweed', hence why it's called a 'Tweed Jacket', to distinguish it from just a 'Jacket'. See?

tweed ... is made from whatever they say it's made from.
I suspect the haters are either:
(a) mistaking this for Harris Tweed (which is wool)
(b) just plain ignorant.
At this price only a fool would expect wool - so if you voted cold on wool content, that's YOU

Me? No. I only buy wool tweed jackets.
If you check the details of the listings, they usually tell you:
tweed means tweed, wool tweed means wool tweed. I know, I know, so complicated!
But if it says 'wool tweed' - check REALLY carefully, because it may not be 100% new wool.

Don't know what is all the fuss about. The material is well specified in the detail description, is not like you're "buying burgers not knowing they're made of horse meat"..

Didn't seem to work, sorry for the misguidance. It was suggested because it worked for me in the past.
£39.99 redcued to £20.. only cheaper as H&M are so stupid theyve still not blocked the 25% & £5 off codes, so yes....I would have expected more than a smidging of wool
Correct, how is this Tweed if it has just 5% wool? Trading Standards?
The name is a bit silly as it's a thick cotton polyester sports jacket

Its a good price for a jacket yes but its not a Tweed jacket as described. You wouldnt buy Parma ham if 95% of the meat wasnt in fact Parma ham would you ?
Then again maybe you would as long it was cheap and you didnt understand/realise you were being miss sold an inferior product that was pretending to be something it clearly isnt.
Tweed is great, (not the golf/shooting/hey ho henry checked type either)

In your brain, "tweed" may well be "Wool tweed" - but that's because you have difficulty with words, and no idea what you should expect for £13.90.
To summarise, you're a smart ar*e - but you'll grow out of it. If you really, really try

nah I got it when it was £28, fits my needs very well just wanted a jacket to wear now and again with jeans, It's not a suit so happy for it not to be 100% Wool.. Spilt beer and whatever won't bother me,
Thanks for your interest in what I buy and wear. I saw it liked it tried it on Instore and then Bought online and waited 3 weeks for it. It looks nothing like a tweed jacket in the general sense of the term
Ted baker have a few good tweed blazers too .. Although price wise paying a big premium for a cheap piece of cloth
