    As with most cheap cast iron pots, you might want to re-season it yourself as they are unlikely to have done a decent job of it.

    Also, only ever wash by hand. If you insist on using any type of soap (I'd advise not to), use very little and dry straight after washing. (edited)

    Nothing wrong with using soap. Soap used to contain lye which would damage the seasoning. This isn't the case anymore so you can scrub away without issue.
