Waterpik dental flosser. On offer at the moment, reduced from £60 to £40 but boots seem to be applying the 10% discount on the original electrical price as well as the one third of the original, so bought for £33.99 in store. Expect it's a national store price glitch, didn't seem to apply the same online. Picked ours up in Redditch

Good price, HOT! Seems to hover around £50 on amazon.
There are loads of cheaper brands, of course. Is it better to get a genuine WaterPik?
My £16 Panasonic is 4 years old now, so time to get a spare. Plus, it's never run well on rechargeables, so I think I need a model with an inbuilt battery.

In terms of the quality of the clean I think it's hard to beat waterpik however I have a cheap Chinese model and this exact waterpik and I prefer the cheaper one.

Because this unit hasn't got a lithium battery the power drops off a cliff dramatically and although the battery will 'work' for a few days after - it won't clean as well.

I've had a chat about water flossers with my dentist and hygienist. Both said save your money! (edited)

Hi .. I use one of them as it was recommended by my dentist, and he can see a noticeable improvement.
I use mine in the shower every morning, so no need to keep my mouth shut and bend over a sink.
I also use this to clean my dull multi-blade razor, and I could swear that it improves the shave. (edited)

Bought one on a previous deal. Not working out for me. Tank empties very quickly. And I like to be able to see what I’m doing, but that’s not possible with this as I have to lean over the sink.

Do you mean that it leaks?
Or that you just don't like the way water flossers work in general?

I have one of these as well as standard flossing equipment. For those days where you just CBA to do a proper floss this is a decent second best. It definitely blows quite a bit of food out from between teeth and hard to get at places. I'd recommend at this price

I have one of these but I use it for sinus irrigation and ear cleaning.

Seriously? That's not recommended, and could be unsafe!
