Not to hate on this deal, but wickes have the structural version of this appears identical for a flat £40: - wickes.co.uk/Wic…240.

I would assume being structural this is better than the latter. therefore am I right in thinking wickes have employed the scumbag tactic of increasing the price and then discounting it to encourage sales?

Non structural is used where it is going to be seen (fascia etc) so is actually more expensive than the structural. The finish of the product is different.

bear in mind that not all plywood is the same, I've seen much of the stuff on wickes and the quality tends to be really low.

Again - not a bad price. Wickes are competitive with some timber prices. My local merchants are in the early to mid £40's for 18mm sheets

18mm B/BB Q Mark Hardwood Plywood is £38 a sheet at my local merchants, but this is a good price for somewhere open 7 days a week.
