    it is the law to display country of origin when in the EU. If your car number plate still has the blue EU strip, you don't need a separate UK sticker.

    That is not true. The EU flag and GB letters are no longer recognized in the EU. Your reg plate now needs the union jack and letters UK.

    If you have the old reg plate with EU flag you still need to display the UK sticker.

    Am I right in saying that if you plates heve yhis symbol you dont need a UK sticker such as this for travel in mainland Europe?

    Or vice versa? if you have the round UK sticker, you don't need them to be on your plates?

    Is this law? Not that I would drive to France but if I did I wouldn’t want the french to know I am from the UK in case of hate crime.
