If you're into buying new games for older systems, this maybe a deal for you. This is a physical Dreamcast game which has been reduced from £36 to £25.20.
This one is actually quite a good game that has appeared on the current gen consoles as well as the Sega Megadrive, Neo Geo, Nintendo 64 and even the Gamecube. They seem to have these versions in stock too with the Megadrive cartridge being discounted along with the DC version.
From the developer's website :

"Xeno Crisis is an arena shooter in which up to two players take control of battle-hardened marines embarking on a deadly mission to confront an alien menace and get home alive! Run and gun your way through thousands of adversaries as you explore the research outpost, searching for survivors, and ultimately confronting the origin of the outpost's demise.

Featuring seven areas and a legion of deadly enemies and intimidating bosses, Xeno Crisis is a formidable challenge, and you'll need to make wise use of the various weapons and upgrades to stand a chance. Only with a combination of lightning quick reactions and guile will you be able to complete your mission, but be warned - only the most adept of players will be able to see the true ending!

  • Three game modes - Arcade, Infinite and Boss Rush
  • Two difficulty levels
  • Seven distinct environments, each with their own enemies
  • An arsenal of 10 weapons to master"

Still the best console ever, it was the only console that launched massively out of the gate and continued to just have so many amazing games all the time. I remember when the PS2 came out and I played the Dreamcast instead for the first year as the PS2 had nothing. In a weird way the Dreamcast was like the 360, where everyone was going crazy for online gaming on a console at last. It did that but for a small niche audience I was apart of. It also was like the Wii with all the peripheral games like Bass Fishing add ons etc.

It just had one flaw and that was the bad controller, I think if Sega launched a V2 model with two analogue sticks and maybe a slightly faster chip, it would have survived. However I always thought the Dreamcast had better graphics because the video signal was so clean compared to the PS2, the native VGA out also helped. We had one of those really early plasmas with VGA out and it looks so good, where the PS2 looked rough!

Agreed, I think the Dreamcast's video output quality was great for the time and some of those early games looked that little bit better than the PS2, but then, the PS2 was meant to be a pain to program for.
I do wonder how fondly the Dreamcast would be thought of had it actually been successful - I certainly don't think there would be new games for it now, it's kinda stuck in that legacy of not appreciated in it's time and gone too soon.
Great time to be a gamer though, 4 great machines doing their own thing! (edited)

I always wanted one and it has its fair share of gems but obviously not the greatest, otherwise the Sega hardware division wouldn't have to fold, lol.

Is for the real question, why did capcom abandon the powerstone franchise :-(.

I own 2 Dreamcast's... one modded for modern displays and a standard one. I have most of the add ons too! Great console and groundbreaking features when it was first released.

I loved the JPN dreamcast , reminds me of SNK's AES as the dreamcast had arcade perfect versions of naomi games. Good Times (edited)

I was certainly surprised by how much the RRP of the Megadrive version was!

Still got my Dreamcast plugged in (launch Japanese version). I think I've played Xeno Crisis on enough platforms now though but a good deal for a new physical dreamcast game.

Replaced my GD-ROM drive recently that chugged along since the year 2000. Honestly I play a hell of a lot more retro now with ODEs, the problem now is what to do with my physical collection... (edited)

It mentions it in the description but this is compatible with the twin stick controller, just in case there is anyone here who has one that is swayed by that info!
