Word of caution. These stink after a bit so be careful

Came in to say the same! Absolutely revolting

If you can stomach it, you can empty it out at the end and reuse with orange juice to catch the flies (as the powder sachets supplied will run out).
These are highly effective and don’t catch other insects. Had it trapped bees, it would have gone in the bin!

Why? What’s the point of catching insects outside? This surely will attract insects who would have happily
    flown by! (edited)

I put mine next to the outside bin and we have had way less flies coming inside. I have an indoor rabbit so can't risk her getting flystrike

Re used it and filled it with yeast, but emptying it, my God
    Smelt like death

Are you saying those will love me back?

If you want something that really works, google the Red Top fly trap, as long as you have somewhere away from the house to put it. More expensive but the (Genuine ones) are amazing), non toxic but catch THOUSANDS of flies. (edited)

They do work but take time to activate.

Getting more flys in and out this and last year, but haven't seen a wasp this year and bees only outside, maybe the hot spells have something do with this?

    Don't do it!🤢

I put Vinegar in a very small container near the door or window and it repels flies which stops them coming indoors. I think its a better way than trapping them this way.

We've been using one of these for the past couple of weeks and it ended up 3/4 full so just refreshed it there. We hang it near our bin space since my OH is going nuts with the fly swatters inside.
He says there's a lot more flies this year and is blaming it on the new neighbours next door who share the same bin space, whether or not that's the cause I don't know. Seems like a lot of people have had fly problems the past few months so surely the weather???
We've had the odd wasp but catching mostly bluebottles and now we're getting a lot of tiny flies in, not midges, no idea what they are.
