Problem with EV Ubitricity smart charger

I wonder if anyone else has come across this problem and got any further with it than me?

I have an Ubitricity smart cable that connects to an Ubitricity smart wall box to charge my car. Only an Ubitricity smart cable will work with the Ubitricity smart wall box as they talk to each other. Recently, the cable has been completing the handshake with the box then asking me to connect to the vehicle, but when I do the cable shows “no authorisation available” on the screen. I suspect the cable is trying to contact a server on the mobile network - it contains a SIM/ESIM. It was able to complete the authorisation process until early January 2024!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve or bypass this problem? I’m told the wall box can be reprogrammed to work with a dumb cable but nobody seems to know how and I can’t source any circuit?
