Ive got Shudder, i signed up when it was Beta and had lots of problems trying to stream, took months before i could watch something without buffering constantly. Seems all good now though and theyre adding new stuff all the time. I still use my phone to strean to the tv. Not sure what apps theyve got.

Contentwise they have documentaries, series and films. I love horror and seen 100s of films so this is good for discovering new things as well as mainstream.

Cant go wrong with 2 months free ( i only got 7days! ) and think its only £6 a month afterwards so wont break the bank

Looks like it's worth about free Looks like it's worth about free https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.shudder.com

Three whole reviews on Trust Pilot is probably not enough to base a judgement on. One of those reviewers is marking it down because you can't download the films to your laptop. He obviously misunderstands the meaning of a 'streaming service'.

Anyway, it's probably worth a try for 60 days. I probably wouldn't expect ultra smooth streaming on Halloween though so don't base any judgments purely on tonight as the servers are going to be hit hard. There's actually some really good films in the catalogue if you're into horror. I was previously a trial member but then cancelled before the trial finished as I'd seen most of the good films. No problems with cancelling and it can be done via your account page. It streamed fine for me, perhaps the odd small buffering pause once in a while but nothing serious. I streamed via my Chromecast but there are a few other methods available, although they do need to work on the technology that they support a bit. I've just tried to sideload it on my Shield but it didn't work. (edited)

I'm not sure to be honest. I always set calendar reminders to cancel trials a couple of days before they expire. I've just clicked to cancel my new trial and the page states that I'll lose access to the content if I proceed so I suspect you'll lose it once you cancel, regardless of how much time you have left.

Just as an FYI. If you go to cancel they offer you a 30 day extension, so you get 90 days in total!

They have an Amazon Video channel so I reckon they're trustworthy - good deal!

Now T.V. no longer allows developer mode so you can't sideload any apps.

It seems OK but most of the stuff you can get using showbox/movie hd/terrarium etc. Library is small but I suppose that was allways going to be the case as it's only one genre of film.
  23. mart321's avatar
Not sure how you go about cancelling aswell. Can you instantly cancel and still get the 60 days trial, like with Amazon prime trials.

It’s been reliable every time I’ve used, they also have category’s such as zombie, werewolf, vampire. Etc, Perfect if your a fan of certain movies and also perfect if your sick of the horrors on Netflix and Amazon prime. Cancellation of the subscription is easy also. Can be used on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV. Fire stick and a few others

so basically no point paying for it or anything at all as anything can be found online for free if you look in the wrong/right places

Well basically yes. The app is poor and awkward to use, the library is poor, the so called exclusives arnt really exclusive to shudder. It's generally not a good experience. I'm happy to pay money for a decent service. This isn't really. Says it all really when the illegal free to use apps have a slicker setup and better usability than the paid for ones.
  29. nigelbutler's avatar
It works well on Fire Tv - seperate app - and ok for Xbox one app

Its not as slick s Netflix but for true horror fans this is great for 2 months free and then 5 quid a month
