Thanks very much Deeky for the link. Much appreciated. (edited)
I'm also going to start a 'how to quote posts on HUKD' course if you're interested.
So got it for £24. Very happy. Thank you for posting
questioning the fact that this is not portable but requires a mains connection...
Yes, but you will need a Philips hub.
Cheers have a hub just wanted to make sure.
Hi deeky. Thanks very much . What is your competition. Sorry for my ignorance.
Lol.
Had one last Xmas...used it for 2 months( basically just for the novelty) and since then it' been gathering dust.
Ideal for lazy people who can' be bothered to get up off the sofa etc..more trouble than they're worth. (edited)
Hope it is the right choice for a 10 year old... :/

Okay - I don't know anything about this - the OP got it wrong.
Well I'm having the same thought getting one for my 85 year old Dad, he's always asking my brother to lookup things for him on the internet (Help with crosswords etc..) and thought this would help him. Plus for your daughter why don't you get the 3 months of Amazon music for £3 set up? Sure she'd love that. Here's the link hotukdeals.com/dea…325 (edited)
Yeah, I signed up already. The reduced price of the dot was the deal breaker. Not sure what else she’ll use it for though...
Great idea for your dad; never thought of it as tool for those who are less technologically inclined
If u ready to give up ur income and money spending info, open a bank account, if ur ready to give up ur energy usage info, register with a energy provider, if ur ready to totally expose ur online activities, join a internet service provider, blah blah blah
Is that as in Nether Avon?
Yeah Amazon and Google are in an arms race for market share (get the product into homes). They both could probably go cheaper maybe even give them away!
Wi-Fi and a smart phone.
Both 2nd Gen. I'd be surprised if you could pick up a first gen brand new now, but for reference, the newer version is most easily identifiable by the + and - buttons on top. (edited)
Have to agree. I know 3 people who have bought one in the last year and none of them bother using it anymore and one reason why I'm not biting yet either.
