I had one of these and it was awful! Fell apart after 1 use!

Ewww. Mice

Dont use it on hard potatoes you have to boil yer tatties first - makes the chips taste better anyways!

This thing will break guaranteed if you try and shove a whole tattie into it
Only works with soft veg like cucumber, onions etc

The stainless steel version is the one to go for!

Buy a sharp knife

Is it joining the popcorn maker, slushy maker, fancy juicer that takes hours to clean, candy floss maker, panini grill press, rice cooker, pressure cooker, slow cooker, coffee pod machine, filter coffee maker, egg cooker, and george foreman grill in the back of the cupboard?

Not forgetting the banana multi-slicer, melon cutter, pineapple corer, pizza wheel cutter, poached egg silicone moulds....
The list is endless.....

It's a good find based on new price vs old price, but just another kitchen gadget to fill the cupboards. You already have a chip maker at home - it's called a knife!

Bad reviews😩

Even the stronger ss types are rubbish. A potato big enough for chips you would consider acceptable are too big.

Ours is broken. Perhaps microwaving the potatoes to soften them, or parboil.
