Picked up mine today at this price from PC world instore. They price matched OCUK and Selfridges at £299.99, it was £329.99 in store originally in PC World/Currys (edited)

The build quality is a lot better

The LGs refresh rate tops out at 144hz at 1440p via DP whereas the DELL can do 165hz. The only advantage of the LG is sRGB mode for the photo editors whereas the Dell doesn’t, so colours in SDR will seem a bit oversaturated.

Got this for xmas with discounts for £331.
Currys offering for £329 at the moment. Still good price I think.
    Dell offering for £399 - £80 (SUMMERDG80) = £319

How does nano ips compare against ips and va

i have the 34 version of this and a 34 va from msi. Between the 2 va has way better dark levels and also the contrast seems a bit better( maybe because of the dark levels? not entirely sure) , response time va seems better even tho both are rated 1ms. On the color side, ips is far better than va. Also keep in mind that all va panels suffer from smearing, some more than others but on one i have is barely noticeable sometimes depending on level of contrast between the colors. I would buy another va in a heart beat if i would need another and the price is right, but between both screen i have the difference in price was acceptable for me and i bought an ips as well

Is this monitor good for ps5

Ive tried using this monitor on Ps5 and the 4k option does work , however this downscales the 4k image to 2k and keeps it at 60hz as most games only support that, but the 144hz option will work with games that support it and whatever resolution the developer has locked it at. In your place I would just much rather get a 4k60 hz monitor instead of 2k 144hz unless your a competitive player of course.

    4k any good? … 4k any good? laptopsdirect.co.uk/electriq-27-4k-uhd-144hz-usb-c-monitor-eiq-274k144ifsghuca/version.aspNot sure USBC can drive 4k 144hz.

Ooo that is just what I was looking for! I’ll be buying that I think!

I don’t believe it supports 4K at 144hz, only 4K @ 60hz but the way I want to have it set up is for my MacBook to plug and play into Desktop like set up with one cable and then I’ll have my PC also plugged in also to support the 144hz for gaming!

Aren't they essentially the same monitor? Except this just looks a little smarter and the Dell has a more 'gamer' aesthetic.

You're correct there. That's USBC for you. Really you need thunderbolt. They also have an kg 4k 60hz screen as well but the specs are not as good as that one. Search the brand in HOTUkdEALS and read the comments about it.

No thunderbolt on this one according the the Overclockers webpage

£299 (LG) vs £303 (for the Dell) Still would rather have the DELL S2721DGFA for the 165hz refresh rate and cast-iron 3yr Dell Panel Exchange warranty. It would annoy me knowing the LG is the same panel but can’t Overclock beyond 144hz. My 3090 pushes 200fps so even maxes out the Dell. (edited)

Have a bit of read. This is a really good monitor but ps5 at present only outputs in 1080p or 4k so you may not fully benefit from it until Sony comes with an update.

Nice heat, Just hoping for one to hit the 250 mark 144hz 2k. Not too sure if I should take the bullet! As a creative aka photos/videos, its very tempting.

Actually. This 27 Model unlike the DELL 27 one can actually downscale a 4k image from a PS5 from 4k to 1440p. Go google it.

But it’s only got 144hz refresh rate. Choice is downscale ability or 165hz with the Dell. If PC gamer then go with the Dell or Ps5 then go with the LG
