Commented on this last time it was this price - it's great. I've abused the hell out of mine and it's taken some proper chunky branches. Not good on really leafy stuff but this style isn't meant to be

Yes works no problem, best to freeze the limbs slightly first to prevent the blood splatter, so my friend tells me

I also highly recommend this. Had one for about three years, it just chomps up anything. Fantastic product.

Got the same thing with a different brand name from Aldi last year for 50 quid. Still a bargain at 99. Always amazez me what it can chew through

Yep - way better than those 'impact' type, regardless of the brand name slapped on them.

I use mine a lot for that (look at the video in the title) - mine is still going strong many years after buying it. I have a feeling I bought mine in around 2013 ! (edited)

Do the cuttings need to be totally dry for this to work properly?

I've never used it in the wet but all mine come straight off the trees and bushes in to the shredder. It can gunge up a bit with really fresh stuff but still ploughs on.

I've found that as said leaves can be a problem. I try to munch straight away, but if it blocks too often I leave the branches a few days after cutting and the leaves dry enough for better munching!
