It's on now TV at the moment. Think it's sky Atlantic or similar.
Edit: Mod has corrected OP’s link.
Having done this exact same thing (at Music Magpie I think) about 3 years ago, you should expect at least 2 of the 5 boxsets to arrive in shocking condition (dirty, scratched, broken spindles, etc). Really, for a show this good, you should shell out a few more pounds for the Blu-ray complete boxset. (edited)
Digital downloads tend to have DRM which rules them out for me. I like to be able to watch wherever I like, and convert to other formats when required.
Plus as you say the discs are often cheaper.
Yup. The Shield obviously takes the top spot
Not many people have watched The Shield. Thought it was excellent.
DVD and blu-ray releases are shown in different aspect ratios. I actually prefer the blu-ray version, but a lot of die hards don't like the differences in it.
My advice... do like me and buy both!
Have done! Blu-ray looks so much better, and to be honest, didn’t really notice the aspect ratio change. I’m not particularly precious about things like that. The only time it’s ever bothered me is in the interview segments of the World At War Blu-ray release.
Second greatest obvs.
Yes full seasons are available just now but their library changes all the time.
As long as the discs read, who cares? Just watch/rip them and sell them on. These used disc companies are basically a rental service.
Having said that, I think I'd wait for a deal on the HD version.
If I were to do that, I think I’d rather just purchase a legal digital HD download. Although it is rather pricey at the moment.
I was talking about Prisoner Cell Block H
The star that played Omar has recently passed away, RIP
