Went in Saturday afternoon and was told they sold out 2 mins after opening. Got chatting to the security guard who said it was the same people everyday snapping them up. Big profits for scalpers on eBay, terrible organisation by swatch.

Any idea when they’ll will be available to purchase online?

    Forums suggesting the 28th.

Hype aside, this isn’t a cheap Omega, it’s an expensive Swatch. (edited)

Got to hand it to the Swatch Group, they’ve found a way to devalue the Omega brand further, which at this point takes some doing!

    Ones going for 6k

Don't be taken in by the eBay listings. There's a whole load of nonsense going on. Lots of fake bids, shill accounts, attempts to build hype by the flippers etc. These are going to be readily available online shortly at RRP, nobody sane is spending thousands on these.

They are Swatch watches. It's a collab, but they are Swatch.

Yea, way to devalue the brand that literally everyone is talking about right now and is all over mainstream media. Totally dude, you're clearly the marketing guru.

Swatch group owns both the Swatch and Omega brands. Hence the opportunity for the collab. They do not own Timex. So your comment is just a bit silly isn't it... (edited)

Due to “safety concerns” the three London stores had to close today, with everyone who had queued overnight having to leave disappointed. Seems like people were pushing in and causing chaos.

Sadly, people are blaming Swatch for a lack of organisation, but as usual people let themselves down by being entitled, rude and violent.

As already mentioned, these aren’t limited edition and will be available online in due course.

Using their design and name on a cheap watch even in collaboration lowers their rep in luxury market..
    ec9wrr03/04/2022 11:25

Doesn’t this say Omega x Swatch rather than Omega?

Yes but people think oh I have an omega at £200 lol. Which if it makes them happy good, but as someone who sends thousands on different watches as masses don’t have them. It’s a joke..

Went this morning, complete chaos and all three London stores closed by the police. Saw the watch at the omega boutique and they look like nice fun watches. Loads of flippers there trying their luck on eBay. Not a pleasant experience and I decided not to queue

Waving around any watch is the sign of a plonker to be honest. People should just wear what they want without trying to impress anyone!

    I’ll probably buy one, but I don’t think it’s a deal.

Heat added! Not sure why you are being downvoted.

This is the most exciting watch release of our lifetime. Never thought I would get a watch with Omega on for this price. Should be hottest deal of the year. (edited)

It looks like if you wanted to get one of these from the stores then you had to start queuing 2 days ago. Alternatively you can get fleeced on ebay. They are allegedly going to be re-released en-mass in the future, and online. But good luck getting one right now, for the RRP anyway. (edited)

If they'd made more of an effort, steel case, crystal glass etc they'd still fly out the door even at double the price. It certainly looks the part, I'll give it that

I'm not sure folks are actually paying these kind of figures (bids one thing payments another) if they are they ain't getting their money back

I've almost bought a speedmaster on a number of occasions but never pulled the trigger. The moon mission version of this Swatch thingy actually looks pretty good. The specs for £207 are terrible, but it looks like a moonwatch and it's got omega on it, so suckers like me will be all over this when they become available online.

There are far, far better ways of spending £200 on a watch- you can sometimes get lunar pilots around this price for example- but even though Its getting a cold rating on here for a deal that doesn't exist on a watch that seems to be poor value in any event, I'm still grateful to the OP for posting it!

Finally got mine! I walk past two of the London stores most days. Today there was a small queue outside one so I joined it. They only had a few left, including mercury which is one of the ones I liked the look of.

It makes no sense really. It looks and feels like a cheap plastic watch, but I love it. It's never worth £200, but I would have paid double and still been smiling. And I'm not going to stop here, I still want Neptune and the moon..
  27. MPD1's avatar
Not much point posting a watch nobody can get. It'll be around in a few weeks, then it's a deal worth a look.
