    If you're looking for high quality, professional, ergonomic office chairs then consider looking at 2ndhnd.com, you'll grab a refurbished quality chair for the same price as this and it will last years

    He assembled it and sat in the aisle

    I did take it on the bus very easy to put it together, and the quality looks good! I’ve been sitting on a Herman Miller Aeron for few years at my previous job without realising how lucky I was. This one kind of look like a cheap copy of it. Obviously it stops at the look. The mesh lack in bounce and support, but overall and after sitting on it for an hour I must say I’m very happy with it, and it will do for now. The plastic look strong enough to last few years and Iove the look!!

    47300623-qYRfI.jpgJust put mine together, took around 20 minutes by myself to assemble and found the instructions and general assembly of it really simple. Really comfortable to sit on. Particularly like that you can adjust the arms up or down, so it fits nicely under the desk when not being used

    In fairness I couldn't say, it depends a lot on what they can buy in themselves. The majority of chairs they sell are bought as used which they then refurbish and sell on. I have seen a few which were out of stock become available again though.

    Which one exactly around £100 would be better?

    They don't appear to have a lot of available options right now but if I had to choose one it would be the Orangebox task chair at £65, they're a very popular chair - 2ndhnd.com/col…ack (edited)

    Habitat = Argos own brand.

    In my extensive experience of buying cheap office chairs for myself and rooms rented to students, they are usually fine when new, but after a couple of years, they sag, any foam compresses and they end up being very uncomfortable. I must have been through about a dozen different chairs.

    Meanwhile, my ex-employer provided us with some fairly basic office chairs from a quality brand and they were still comfortable after 10 years or more.

    So now I look for used professional office chairs. They seem to last far longer.

I took it apart and discovered the weld on the frame under the seat had a hairline crack. After 2.5 yrs the Markus also started creaking and again i found a very small crack in the weld. I'm 13st. IKEA couldn't give a monkey's and I'll never buy their chairs again. Having said all that I'm sure there are 100s out there who've had no issues, just like the buyers of these chairs. I'm picking my argos chair up on Sat and fingers crossed I'll get 2-3yrs out of it before I'm back on here saying I'll never buy an argos chair again

    Well..... Having sat on a herman miller for the best part of 16 years this chair isn't bad. Probably a bit more flex in the mesh than a miller and lighter but you would expect that. Only negatives are.... You can't lock the back at different angles (only lock upright) and the max height is a bit too low. Other than that, worth the money. The next best comparable chair I've seen on Amazon is about £160-180. It's a bit pointless me writing this now as i see the price is back to £215.

    Mine’s had 8 hours a day of use for about five years and is still as new. If you find it a comfy chair then it’ll hold up for a long time.

    You're welcome, we ordered some for our office and the delivery took around 4 weeks but they explained this was due to staff absence, apologised and let us pick a more expensive chair. Have only had one purchase from them but, despite the lead time, it was excellent.

    Yeah, damn, you caught me! I'm actually the director and have nothing better to do than set up loads of accounts on HUKD and like a comment that I made... but in all seriousness, I'm just a man who appreciates a good quality office chair, saw a deal on one and thought I'd help the good people out with another option that they may, or may not, appreciate (edited)

    Personally I'm of the opinion that everyone should save up for a Herman Miller Aeron or just sit on the floor ... but if you're not, this seems like a decent deal for a mesh chair (especially with Summer fast approaching).

    They do seem to be quite low on variety at the moment but I've seen a few come back in stock previously, all depends what they can get their hands on to refurb I guess. Maybe try emailing them over a list of any you would be interested in, I'm not sure how it works exactly but, maybe they have some coming in or can offer an alternative suggestion?
