I have one of these and have used it almost weekly for the last couple of years and it is brilliant.

Hot water very quickly... Packs away pretty small too ... And quite lightweight

Mailing list code "Firstsignup22" gets it down to £26.48 Inc the cheapest p&p. I'm assuming it's generic. But do I really "need" it? (edited)

    This or OEX Tacana?
Seems too close to call (edited)

Check out some of the reviews. I've gone for the OEX Tacana, it seems better.

Mine arrived today, seems like a decent bit of kit and all in working order. Yet to try to boil anything but looking forward to my next Moorside cuppa!

Can you not cook on an open fire ?

You can cook on an open fire by all means?
There's nobody stopping you doing that.

This subject is about a camping stove though, so maybe you've jumped on the wrong item mate,

Might be cheaper with a McDonalds Monday deal

Looked online seems you can cut 3 slits in the bottom base and slide in a portable stove burner so its more compact.
May help others on this picking this too

    Could you elaborate?

Can of beans on an open fire does it for me

Be careful most tin cans have a form of plastic lining in these days....

Brilliant price ! Have a similar one I got of planet x years ago and still going strong . Used with the wee coleman c100 gas canister it keeps the weight down if hiking or bikepacking.

Ordered one for the allotment and one for my van.

Cheaper to buy two of these than one jetboil.

Only 20% heavier than my primus lite+ and £100 cheaper than the RRP. Boil times probably only a tiny bit longer too.
    Looks great

Just for anyone unaware and to save on cleanup, if you have the ability to grind espresso stir it directly into a cup and let the ground sink. Then agitate the top ground after 4 mins and scoop the top layer.

This is used for cupping amongst tasting experts across the world and works well.

I bought the X2 from them last year. The first one had to go back due to the fitting on the burner not connecting with the canister. I had the second one a few weeks before they emailed me to say 'stop using it' they had a safety recall on them. :/ (edited)

Looks great, was just struggling with a stove and full size kettle when wild camping last weekend. Got a 10% off code when signing up to newsletter so 26.48 delivered.

My nephew has had a 'Jet Boil' in his Amazon Wishlist for a few years now.
As a cheapskate Uncle (only because I'm always low on funds from buying up all the un-needed offers I see on HUKD... yes it's your fault HUKD!)... I'm thinking I'll buy this as an alternative option for him.

I’m sorry to be thick but can someone explain how this works and what else I need? Do I need gas a regulator?
