One important to thing to note when I did this earlier 9 x 4 months is actually about 10 days over the 3 year limit of gold that microsoft allow you to top up. To get round this you can either use 8 codes or buy the 9 codes and forfit one of the free recurring billing months.
Step by steps for this are as follows:
1. Very important make sure your xbox gamepass ultimate subscription is expired.
Make sure an active credit/debit card is on your microsoft account and gamepass/gamepass ultimate are not active by clicking on the top right on your profile picture then the ... for subscriptions Account with Xbox | Xbox. or on your console .While here make sure recurring billing is currently turned off.
2. Follow the link and scroll down and choose one of the two sellers at £4.49 per code currently Big Games or WW GLOBAL
3. Add 9 codes to the basket and enter the voucher code. I personally wouldn't bother with the protection as paypal or your credit card should cover you if anything goes wrong and in my all years of buying codes I have never had an invalid code just pick a seller with 1k+ feedback.
4. Make sure an active credit/debit card is on your microsoft account and gamepass/gamepass ultimate are not active by clicking on the top right on your profile picture then the ... for subscriptions Account with Xbox | Xbox or on your console .While here make sure recurring billing is currently turned off.
5. Redeem one three month code here Account with Xbox | Xbox in the top right click on your profile picture then on the ... redeem code option copy and paste a three month code from you gamivo order. After 10 seconds or so it should go to the next page and auto selected for a free month leave recurring billing on. Make sure this is selected. It again takes 15 seconds or so to complete.
6. When the code is redeemed go back to manage subscriptions and turn recurring billing off.
7. Repeat steps 4 to 5 eight more times.
8. After confirming there is 36 months of xbox live gold on your account again via subscriptions on the microsoft account website, via the console either buy one month of xbox gamepass ultimate or find a cheaper code from eslewhere. You should see a screen come up stating your remaining xbox live gold will be converted to gamepass ultimate with an end date in 2025.
9. Enjoy 3 years of gamepass ultimate for £50 or less without vpns

sorted byI've given the deal heat, but I personally wouldn't do business with Gamivo ever again. Their entire checkout process is set up to scam you into taking out a subscription that's unnecessarily difficult to cancel.
In my experience, I didn't even "Buy with Smart" or agree to sign up to anything... I simply used a discount code I saw online 'BASKET-SMART' and with no further warning or legal agreement, I was signed up to the Gamivo SMART subscription service.
Morally, an awful company, who set their own customers up to fail, and are even willing to blame their own customers for falling for their blatant scam sales tactics, rather than admitting their businesses practices are misleading, convoluted, and verging on illegal.
Tl;d for someone scanning this... Do not use Gamvio money saving discount codes/coupons, at least without extreme caution - reason being, you can get a banner advertising a code as a purely money saving thing, when in-fact by simply using the code, you're agreeing to pay them money every month... very misleading, likely illega in any civilised ocuntry, very dishonest , and apparently very difficult to back out of... totally scummy practice. 1. Go to CDkeys, add 3 months Xbox Live Gold into basket, change quantity to 2 and Buy.
2. Repeat above 3 more times
3. Then buy just one more from CDkeys to make it 9.
4. Go to redeem.microsoft.com/
5. Enter the 3 month Xbox Live Gold code from the email received from CDKEYS.
6. Before redeeming it will say 'To receive an extra month, switch on recurring bill' SWITCH THIS ON! and REDEEM
7. Once redeemed, go to your Microsoft Services and Subscriptions, you should see Xbox Live Gold sub, click on Manage, and you should see an option for recurring bills - SWITCH THIS OFF and CONFIRM.
8. Repeat Steps 4-7, 8 more times
9. Once all codes are redeemed and your Xbox Live Gold sub is to expire in July 2025, go to you dash and buy the GPU for £1, follow the steps on screen and it will confirm that your GPU will expire in July 2025 after the conversion for the XBox Live Gold sub you have. CONFIRM and BOOM you are done!

Mine expired yesterday, so just did 8 x 3 months with a one month ultimate conversion from kinguin for 99p! make sure you look around for discount codes - gg.deals have 6% off at gamvio and 10% off kinguin regularly - or a chrome plugin like Cently that can stick in codes automatically at checkout for the best deals...

Basically put gold on first,then buy 1 month gamepass ultimate to apply to convert all your gold to gamepass ultimate. (edited)

Would recommend to anyone if your GP is about to expire to cancel it by requesting Microsoft to call you via Xbox Support. Just make sure you mention just GP you want cancelled as my whole account nearly went. Well worth it even if you have a couple of months left
*If you choose to pay the 10.99 it does upgrade all the 36 months to ultimate (edited)
