About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Just came across this while browsing my Coop account in the app. Don't think I've ever seen Revolut offering cashback (although just trawled through HUKD and saw similar offer with Getir back in Feb). Hopefully this appeals to a wider audience, even if Coop is more expensive for some things.

There is a pdf of the T&C. To deal with the most popular question;

You do not need to upgrade your account from a Standard account to a Premium account to earn the Cashback Offer. This means you can earn the Cashback Offer even if you don’t earn the Revolut Free Trial.

*We’ll aim to credit the cashback to your account within 7 days of each completed virtual or physical Revolut card payment you make on Co-op’s website or app, or in store.*

If you make a virtual or physical Revolut card payment but it is reverted or you seek a refund, you will not be entitled to cashback and if we’ve already credited your account with cashback, we reserve the right to reverse that cashback.

NB. You just have to make sure you use the same phone number in the Revolut / Coop offer box online and in the first box on the app when you set it up.

NB2. A single purchase of say, £25 at CoOp should produce the max cashback of £25

NB3. The refer a friend bonus is actually entry for the referrer into what amounts to a lottery for a prize of £10 or more, with the odds of winning the top referral being 1/100, and you are FAR more likely to get £10. So coop & 25 cashback should be more reliable. (separate T&C).

Some of these banking apps are not covered. Revolut Bank UAB is licensed by the European Central Bank and regulated by the Bank of Lithuania. But not the FCA. Just worth being aware of. It also suffered a large financial loss last year.

Revolut isn’t a bank in the UK. It’s a fintech. It still must protect its customers’ money by keeping it in a separate account but we all saw how well that went with the German fintech that failed last year. I use revolut for a quick in and out rather than keeping any significant amounts of money. It serves a purpose when needing to exchange money quickly and at a good rate or to send money to friends and family.

Other than that their ethics as an employer are also very questionable.

Starling and Monzo are legit UK banks and deposits up to £85k are protected just like any other high street bank. Despite them also being fintech banks they should not be compared to revolut as it’s apples and oranges due to how these business operate.

Monese blocked my account with 8k on there and its been 2 weeks now. Looking at the reviews, the same is being said about Monzo and Revolut. I advise all not to bank with these lot unless you are prepared to have your money frozen for no reason!

Keeping anything more than £10 with these banks is suspicious

Copy and Paste from their T&C's for those saying they can't see this in their offers:

Sign up to Revolut as a new personal customer by scanning a Promotion QR code. You can find these QR codes in Revolut x Co-op marketing materials for the Promotion instore and online. (If you sign up in the normal way, not using a QR code, you will not receive the Cashback Offer).

Make a purchase of at least £1 at any eligible Co-op store using your physical or virtual Revolut card.

The Cashback can only be earned on purchases of £1 or greater, and is capped at £25. You will receive 100% of any purchases back in cashback within these limits. For example:

If you spend £0.50, you will not receive any cashback, and will have £25 cashback remaining for subsequent purchases.

If you spend £50, you will receive £25 cashback, and will not have any cashback remaining for subsequent purchases.

If you spend £5, you will receive £5 cashback, and will have £20 cashback remaining for subsequent purchases.

You do not need to upgrade your account from a Standard account to a Premium account to earn the Cashback Offer. This means you can earn the Cashback Offer even if you don’t earn the Revolut Free Trial.

We’ll aim to credit the cashback to your account within 7 days of each completed virtual or physical Revolut card payment you make on Co-op’s website or app, or in store. If you make a virtual or physical Revolut card payment but it is reverted or you seek a refund, you will not be entitled to cashback and if we’ve already credited your account with cashback, we reserve the right to reverse that cashback.

Revolut will try anything to get out of paying referral bonuses. I think they are a bit sneaky with their business practices.
    I don't recommend

On the other Getir thread, people seem to be OK with it.

Mind you, I ditched Curve for that very reason. They didn't honour their T&Cs.

The virtual card details are in your Revolut app. Just add that to your Google or apple wallet and you are good to go

    Hi, Mr Footlong...
I signed using the link above, revolut.com/pro…-gb,
but H19 put T&Cs up, it states you must sign up in coop using QR code, signing up any other way will not get the £25 offer, so you say, no need for QR codes, how do you know?
    Cheers, Pat

I just tried to use this card in coop and this card reader wouldn't accept it. So couldn't use it

    Thanks for the post OP!

I understand, you just have to keep an eye on Rewards Cashback to see the transactions made at Co-op being tracked and how far to reach the offer cap £25, correct?

I used the link in OP comment, then entered my mobile number. Clicked the link in SMS that came after submitting my mobile number, that took me to App Store to download the Revolut app. Signed up and followed all process with selfie taken to set up my fresh new account. Confirmation email came for account verification, but nothing to mention I am receiving the Co-op offer and how to track my progress. A little more clarification to this exact offer could be useful within the app or email communications.

I wish all of us signed up a successful cashback with this offer!

This is how l did it as well . Am going to co op tomorrow and will buy something over £1 to see if it works.

So spend £25 to get £25 cashback? However, it's not clear (to me, at 6am!) if this has to be done in the 1st purchase or if I could spend five lots of £5 there to get the full £25 cashback within the first 3 months of signing up?

Within 3 months, in as many goes as needed.

as a general aside and info on revolut,I signed up for Revolut last year refered by my daughter who got £50 and shared £25 of it with her dear old dad,the person you refer has to carry out certain tasks, one is order a pyhsical card which costs them about £5 postage and the other is to use the card for several £10 ? purchases in a shortish length of time,no comply=no cash for referrer.I dont keep any more than a tenner in but what I use it for a lot,is the disposable shopping cards so if you want to buy online from a site you dont want to give out your credit/debit card details to, you transfer to revolut the required amount and use a one time disposable shopping card to pay for it,the next time another card number is generated and so on (edited)

Is there a way we can contact revolut about this? Been 2 weeks and no cashback tracked.
    Feel mugged off
    Yellowfin's avatar
If you click on transection at coop in revolut app and scroll down to option (report a problem) . You can chat with them.

This offer is a total scam
    Ukguy101's avatar
I agree they make it look like you make any transaction in co op & you'll get 25 pounds the screenshot says nothing about having to spend 25 pounds to get 25 in cashback or having to scan any damm QR code to be eligible, i feel I've been duped & wish i hadn't signed up to it now!
  15. bellboys's avatar
They are still offering £50 to me for introducing someone (and I suspect a lot of other people). If you have a decent sized group of friends/work colleagues (maybe a WhatsApp group like us?) you can work this very easily to fund a big night out/ whatever. 16 of us went to Spain earlier this year and managed to amass over £800 commission to put to the nights out kitty. Lasted us almost 2 nights including food! (edited)

You can't get this offer if you've already signed up
  18. Kar_Yau's avatar
How do you know if the you have this offer active? Is there a notification to say that the £25 is active and you can now start spending?
    Jay_Ma's avatar
No. Just shop at the co-op and wait for a week to get your money to be credited
  19. RedXI's avatar
    What's the min spend?

Some say £1 others say £25.
    Yellowfin's avatar
You have to spend £25 to get £25 cashback. It canbe done in 5 different transections. But you can spent £1 minimum to see it it tracks and will you actually get any cashback as coop is bit more expensive than other supermarkets. Also it might take 7 day for cashback to be paid.
I will go again coop today. I tried my card the other day and it didnt work.
  20. Yellowfin's avatar

Been one week since I signed up and made my purchase in co op but still no cashback. Anyone had any luck?
    Jay_Ma's avatar
Not at all. I spent £25 at co-op but no news from my account whatsoever
  31. Raimonds's avatar
Same, no cashback yet. Will give them a few more days, if they process it at all.

I have now been offered from within the app £50 for a friend referral. I am going give it try and invite my OH.

    Update 5/9/2022

The referral bonus £50 came through same day as the required transactions were made. So, very qiuck this time compared to Coop offer had to raise a claim. (edited)
    Talom's avatar
My app says "up to £50" is yours definitely £50 for each referral?
  32. mumum's avatar
Did anyone have issues getting their cashback? I got 2 transactions and then no more. After contacting them I'm being asked to provide receipts which I've not been holding onto for 2 weeks.
